Well at least weekends without F1 aren’t devoid of controversy, chaps got some proper anger issues by the looks of it. Got to be a lengthy ban for this kind of action, maybe even a lifetime ban (although Ticktum didn’t get a lifetime ban for his offence) and then other sentences dished out for the second video.

Just came in to see if anyone had posted this!

Utterly bizarre behaviour and that guy can't be allowed back on a race track. I assumed he was 16 or something, but he is older than Max Verstappen!

I've no idea what could drive someone to do something so horrendous.

Yeah he’s 23! It was his dad (the track owner no less as well) who almost speared the other driver into the fence as well  :fp:

He’s also said that he’s not going to be racing anymore, before he gets banned for life anyway I suspect

From what I read on twitter the culprits own the track so hardly surprising they're entitled pricks. Guy should be prosecuted as far as I'm concerned as that could have cause a very serious injury, those are not slow karts.

Just absolutely insane from a 23 year old. Hope the FIA don't sanction any further races at that circuit given his dad's involvement. That said, as a wrestling fan, that kid has a future!

Raikkonen is going to be the first person ever to reach actual retirement age while still a driver.

I suppose he'll be bumped to Ferrari soon enough if he impresses like Leclerc

Sainz abandons McLaren for a worse car and then gets fired. Drive to Survive rubbing their hands together with glee.

Surely that was always going to be a good problem Ferrari might have if Mick Schumacher does well in his first couple of years in F1? Kind of surprised Raikkonen wants to hang around considering the performance of the Alfa Romeo this year but I get he is a very good reference for Mick.

Edit, latest episode of Beyond The Grid is a 50 minute episode, seemingly an interview with Vettel on leaving Ferrari and his changing motivation, not sure if thats the full episode or not but could be a good episode to listen to.

Hulks Covid test should be back in time for qualifying, so they could run him if they wanted/needed.

Edit, Hulk confirmed to be back in!

Leclerc is looking very good, must have been questions prior to qualifying about if both Ferrari drivers are running the same spec (apparently they are), I’m just really hoping a change of environment and team helps Vettel get back to his better level of performance rather than what we’re seeing now.

Albon did better, still a relative mile away from Max though. Good job from Bottas too.

Vettel is just such a mystery this year. I honestly think he has just lost all motivation at Ferrari. It doesn't look good on his stats to be losing so badly to Leclerc, but Vettel has always performed at his best when he is happy at a team who are behind him 100%. I guess he figures he will have the legs on Stroll to avoid him getting preference over him.

I'm amazed F1 don't have a contingency still for a Covid outbreak at one of the top teams. The whole season will be completely wrecked if Hamilton or Bottas test positive during the riskiest time of year for infection.

I think that is a lot of it (or I hope it is anyway, he’s certainly not more than half a second off the top drivers in the sport), he just doesn’t care enough to push for Ferrari this year which is sad to see.

Not really sure what F1 could do if most of a team came down with Covid, unless there is an understanding that if it did happen to any of the teams, then all the teams would have to isolate and this would mean no racing for the next couple of weeks?
