Hulkenberg having a very quietly solid race, not pitted yet but points could be on the table for him today.

Why can't we have a wet race? WHY?!

To whom it may concern, watch me lock up under pressure.

Seems a bit excessive to have a full safety car for that.

Edit: And it's already moved. Stupid.

Yeah it seems to be just for bunching the field up.

Yeah this seems really excessive, VSC would have cleared that easily.

Well that’s the WDC almost done and dusted for Hamilton.

Best thing about this season really is the midfield, Ricciardo finally getting that podium :datass:

Yea midfield is great this season.

Not sure who Hamilton is trying to kid by pretending Red Bull are getting closer.

Bottas had already messed his race up with that huge lockup resulting in a compromised early pitstop - and I'm not sure he would have finished ahead of Verstappen after that, so he would have been too far behind Hamilton in the championship after this race. I guess the DNF just completely confirms it, so well done to Lewis for his 7th title.

Norris and Russel really unfortunate today, but Albon is starting to look like a bit of a liability. Way off the pace of his teammate and has a tendency to tangle with other cars uneccesarily.

If I was Red Bull I’d really be looking to try and get Perez in that second seat, even if just on a one year deal, he’s a very dependable driver and, without sounding too unfair probably wouldn’t be doing any worse than Albon. Hulkenberg was easily DOTD today, quiet and solid drive, also deserves a seat for next year over some of the current drivers.

I guess the championship Covid contingency is pretty much Hamiltons points lead now. He could afford to miss two races and still have a 20 point lead.

Really nice moment with Mick handing over Michael's helmet.

It was scrapped because it was confusing and pointless.

Didn't see all the race as i didn't get home until after the highlights show had started, but i enjoyed what i saw.

Not just that even Senna and Prost hated it if they won they would lose points for winning was a bizarre scoring system when it was in place.

Yeah but in a season that could be wrecked by a pandemic, they kind of needed something to safeguard against it. That said, it's not going to be needed now as Hamilton would need an ungodly disaster to lose this season.

I think Lewis has it in the bag now regardless, he's just too good at the moment.
