I don't care who wins the title now, i just want it to go to the final race.

Make the final race 300 points for the win and Mazepin can still win the title.

I've been watching the 1995 season review on YouTube. It's weird as one of the best improvements I can think is to ban pit to car communication aside from safety issues. Not sure what led me to that conclusion, but I feel the main communication should be from the pit boards.

Sky won't get the annoying clips of drivers moaning constantly, but I'm certain it would lead to much better races.

At points drivers whining over the radio have been the best parts this season. I do agree though that it can be annoying watching a driver being assisted so much by the team over the radio.

1995 featured some of the best looking cars from that era.

So sad. He wasn’t even that old! My first real memories of F1 are Senna and then Hill in the Williams.

I still for the life of me can't understand why he dropped Hill I'm 1997, but no doubt Frank was an absolute pillar of the sport. Its really sad that the team basically died off because the sport got in bed with the factory teams and basically edged out the independents. Guys like Sir Frank were key in building the modern F1. RIP.

I think it was because at the time, Frentzen was considered to be the next big thing, he'd put in some pretty impressive drives for Sauber and Frank wanted him in his car.

My introduction to F1 was 1994 and i became a fan of Williams and Damon Hill that season the iconic livery's they had in the late 80's and up too 98 and the BMW livery's 00-03 again i followed them during those seasons hoping they did well and they did. The 01-03 Williams were beast's and the best cars they had since 95-96 just a shame reliability was an issue as the cars were quick and Montoya was electric in those seasons
I only recently found out that in the 60's he had a garage not far from where i live which i found very interesting.

A sad loss for motor sport and F1
RIP Frank Williams

The mid 90s Williams colours will always be my fav. There was just something about the Rothmans colours, and Hill, Senna, DC and JV being linked by it. I really wish Frank had taken Williams the Mclaren/Ferrari route and created a manufacturer team. I suppose it wasn't in the teams DNA.

Kind of also need to respect what he did in Touring Car too, where they won the BTCC.

The 90s was such a strange time, the end of the classic sort of era and also the start of the modern era. That's why my run through of 90s F1 season reviews has been so enjoyable.

The 94-95 season reviews are my fav F1 season reviews probably because i watched them all the time after i got into F1 the soundtrack the intro to each grand prix the montages for each country. Don't get me wrong i like the later reviews 97-98-99-00-01-02 but 94 & 95 are so good. Even 88-91 seasons are good to watch.

It was the 98 season was the start of the modern F1 era with the narrow wheel base and grooved tyres

The BMW Williams cars really were amazing, the only reason they weren't more successful was down to Schumi and Ferrari being at the absolute top of their game.

I’m not sure how that’s going to massively improve the racing round Yas Marina looking at it, it looks like it makes overtaking more likely going into the chicane? Maybe the first hairpin if the chasing car is much quicker and can get on the brakes a lot later but in similar cars with similarly aged tyres I can’t see that being a viable spot really?

FP1 on now, track looks very quick, but utterly dull.

Hamilton finished top in FP1 by a very small amount, obviously it’s going to be hard to get a proper read on the pecking order (other than Red Bull and Mercedes are going to the top two teams) until the end of Q3 but it does look very quick on track. Red Bull will be wanting a lot more from Perez than P11 come qualifying though.
