It’s still a bit of a weird one from my viewpoint though, sure people who needlessly go out of their way to comment such things on posts won’t be able to post on anything new so they’ll get less interaction as in theory not as many people are using it. The same people can just post them anyway and @ whatever party they’re currently targeting sadly, it feels like the best way would for high profile people on these platforms to say they’re leaving till they actually make changes, call them out on it till they make changes. I’d love it for this weekend to have some effect, but I can see it being sadly short lived.

It's ad revenue for the platforms. Say 10 million people read the F1 Twitter account over the weekend, then that account doesn't post at all. Ian Twitter then loses X amount in ad revenue. Multiply that up by all the other companies doing it, and then they see it as a direct figure that costs THEM. If they want F1 and that to use their platform, they need to commit to providing the tools and support to kicking racists off and punishing them.

I got my Mick Schumacher cap in Nov, will be wearing that all season. Not looking good though with rumours Haas may go. Although, I imagine a seat will open for him at Alfa next year.

I've just read Ferrari have delayed a new floor so they can have it ready for both cars rather than just one driver. I don't know why they just didn't call the drivers in and flip a coin on who gets it this week. They need to be pushing development as fast as they can.

Nice, i now switch between my Verstappen cap and the Kimoa Alonso one i got a while back.

Been years since i had a current F1 cap, over the last few years i've been getting older designs because they're cheaper.

Mind you, in my cupboard somewhere i still have my 90's collection which includes designs from B&H Jordan, Mild Seven Benetton (a team issue one as it wasn't on sale to the public at the time and my teenage self wrote to the team and asked for one), a selection of Michael Schumacher Dekras, and some Rothmans Williams caps.

To be fair I only paid like 19 quid for the mercedes cap. I haven't bought a baseball cap in years so have no idea if that is expensive or not. I do quite like the random designs Hamilton comes up with, made me laugh when they finally let Bottas do one last year and it looked as average as his driving.

19 for a Merc cap is pretty good actually, the going rate for a 2021 cap at the moment is 35.

I’ve got a couple of F1 hats, was gifted a Renault team hat from the 2018 season and I’ve bought an Aston Martin one this year.

Aston Martin upgrades working well so far this weekend, Stroll was a couple of tenths up on Vettel in FP3, I can’t see anyone bar Mercedes or Red Bull putting too much more effort to this year to be honest.

Alpine were looking pretty competitive in FP2 as well, so hopefully they'll be up there again in quali.

Yeah the updates Alpine have brought seemed to have had a good impact so far, as always qualifying will show just how much impact both teams upgrades have made though.

I think it’s always the way the team have always done it, championship position dictates who gets the upgrades first (although I can’t recall if this was the case last year as I’m sure Stroll got some upgrades over Perez and then crashed out), still Vettel seems to be having a bit better weekend so far, Stroll out in Q1 and Vettel through so he’s out qualified Stroll for the first time this year.

Mercedes seemed to have turned it on in Q2 don’t they, bit of time left but Hamilton must have had a very tidy lap on the mediums.

Ocon has really surprised me so far this year, seems to have really stepped it up since Alonso came in, it’s not as if Alonso has been away from racing in his 2 years out of F1, just racing elsewhere. Huge gaps between Norris/Ricciardo and Ocon/Alonso.
