I wish Horner would stop going on about the financial cost of incidents.

Loved his answer. What they gonna do, fine him for standing up for LGBT rights? The sport would be a laughing stock.

Fair play to Seb, he took a big moral stand this race and his performance was superb too.

Midfield Seb is great :datass:

He is such a chilled guy now. I've found myself really rooting for him for a while now. If he can just kill some of the errors and Aston continue to improve, I think he will be right in the mix near the front.

If Aston have a good car next year he could be a bit of a dark horse, if the ground effects have a similar feel to the blown diffuser he dominated the sport with for a couple of seasons he could do really well. Since Spain he’s looked really spelled at Aston, meanwhile Ricciardo still looks strangely lost at sea a lot of the time. Still think he’d have got solid points even without the eventful race, podium is a nice bonus.

I like how he wore a rainbow face mask in his interviews. I assume that was after he was called to the stewards as well?

Hamilton didn't get fined for his BLM tshirt last year so it would be a bit stupid for them to fine Vettel for this. But nothing really surprises me with steward/FIA decisions any more, so who knows.

It’s such a joke, they go on about the ‘we race as one’ thing weekly, a driver has a T-shirt on incorporating a lot of people for the ‘we race as one’ segment then gets told off for it :fp:

Yeah it's all pretty pathetic. I hope a team goes for a rainbow car soon.

For Saudi Arabia

In fact, I’d be delighted if a lot of the drivers and teams boycotted the Grand Prix, think teams are allowed to miss 3 still? I know they are if they’re in financial difficulties like Marussia were a few years back.

Interesting how that restart panned out. If they had all pitted, Hamilton would have been way down the pack. But would that be legal from a race start point of view because they should line up in grid order in the pit lane.

Freakish events, but F1 need to look at that scenario.

Tsunoda really isn't PR friendly

In the words of Helmut Marko, Tsunoda is not a typical Japanese man :fp:

Ricciardo only 2 points ahead of Vettel and Gasly going into the summer break. He’s on 50 points completely to Norris on 113, who is still in 3rd in the standings.

Honestly I'd get rid of Ricciardo. It's obvious now he only drives for the money.

I’m not sure what the issue is with Ricciardo, all the other drivers who’ve switched teams or come back into the sport have very much settled into their new teams by now, Ricciardo just doesn’t seem settled at all, I’m not sure if he’s unhappy with an aspect of the car or he just can’t adapt to the different power unit. He looked very good at Renault last year after a poor first half of 2019 so obviously not lost it yet. I think his move to Renault was about the money though, getting a big paycheque for his retirement fund

No he didn’t, definitely went for the all or nothing approach in his first race for Renault, granted he was ever so slightly unlucky with the dip in the grass but still, he shouldn’t have been on the grass at all.

Vettel and the others given a reprimand for their respective rule breaking, hope he does it at every race from now on.

Yeah so do I. Although I assume it was because it was in Hungary? Would it have been an issue if he did it say at Silverstone?
