Stopped reading at Rosberg being worse than Bottas.

I’d like to think in retrospect that Rosberg should have got a lot more credit than he did in his 4 seasons with Hamilton, he pushed him far harder than Bottas has without sounding too harsh on Bottas (as he’s clearly still a very capable F1 driver, just not at the same level as Hamilton, Verstappen or Vettel back in the early 2010’s).

I really think Rosberg was an excellent driver, he demonstrated that time and time again throughout his career, both at Williams and Mercedes.

Rosberg was far better than he was made out to be, beating Hamilton to the title in equal machinery is no easy feat.

Yeah, and he was more often than not right on his pace, wheras the same can't be said for Bottas. He also made Schumacher look ordinary.

Schumi was way past his best though with only glimmers of his old speed, so you can't really compare them.

There is a slight caveat with Hamilton having almost all the bizarre bad luck the season he lost to Rosberg - he even won more races that year than Nico - but yes, he was able to maintain a much more consistent race pace than Bottas.

Bottas is very quick in qualifying but often seems to drift away in race trim.

So he took his seat and his girlfriend? Poor Kyvat.

Watched the first few races on the 2014 season review blu ray. I legitimately forgot how fast Bottas was. In a Williams at least.

Nah, can't really be bothered, especially since Formula E didn't do much for me either.

I'm just watching it now. Plenty of incidents considering it's only quali but that's rally for you. Will be interesting to see the race tomorrow, I can imagine carnage at the start and quite a few DNFs, I'll certainly watch it.

I like Formula E, my problem is that I don't have the time to watch every single formula and I would often forget it was on. If I could only choose two forms of motorsport then it would be F1 and BTTC but Formula E is definitely worth a watch every now and then!

What time is the race on tomorrow? Might try and catch it if I can. I have the same problem on a lot of weekends though, far too much motorsport on so you really do have to limit what you watch with other commitments on top of wanting to watch a lot of motorsport, it’s why I only commit to watching all the F1, as much WRC as I can and then a few of the WEC races, especially the 24 hours of Le Mans. I’ve watched and enjoyed plenty of Formula E too, it’s good but I feel the lack of a consistent start time for the sessions harms the viewership a little, as does the lack of advertising for it which you still don’t see much of really.

Will Extreme E be available on Youtube?

Looks like they streamed the qualifiying and semi-final, so probably: https://www.youtube.com/c/ExtremeELive/videos

I watched some of the highlights. I like the mix of drivers from different disciplines, and it looks like they all use the same car, which is interesting. I'm not keen on the tag-team approach to drivers though, feels a bit weird.

I'm trying to get back into both F1 and WRC this year. Shame there's a two month gap between the latest WRC races. Haven't properly watched it for years, but I enjoyed the Finland rally, so hoping to catch more. Shame the highlights are on ITV 4, which looks awful, but at least it's not on some obscure channel for once.

Just turned on the Extreme E on ITV.

They definitely need some fake engine noise for these lawn mowers.

You can really see the eSports and videogame influences in places.

Let’s hope the other locations offer more exciting racing potential. As a contest, this Saudi Arabia one was all over within the first 30 seconds.

Next race is 29-30 May, the Ocean X in Senegal, West Africa.
