McLaren are unveiling their car at 7pm this evening, presume it’ll be being streamed somewhere if anyone is interested. Looking at the team gear I presume it’ll be pretty similar to last years livery though.

They're all largely the same car too so don't expect anything amazing.

Judging by previous years they don’t even show off the car we see in testing anyway, mainly just to show the livery off and sell team merchandise.

Well the rear floor looks a bit different, as do the endplates on the front wing. Livery wise it’s almost identical to how they ended last season. I’m only really looking forward to Aston Martin.

That's what I thought, someone was trying to convince me today that they had agreed to qualifying Friday, Sprint Race Saturday, Reverse Grid Sunday.

A few days ago there were some articles about teams broadly supporting the possibility of sprint races this year. It's the reverse grid qualifying proposal which seems to have very little support amongst teams and drivers.

I’ve seen that they’d like to implement different formats over the weekend but Liberty wanting to do it and actually being able to change the format are very different

The best way to produce mixed up grids was the 1 lap shootout quali format, it used to work wonders on occasion as even the best drivers would make mistakes and not get the perfect lap.

So they’re taking a track that’s already very hard to overtake at and making it even trickier? We’ve seen some good passes into turn 9/10 in the past too.
