More likely the drivers will find the circuit blocked by extinction rebellion.

Finished watching the BTTC 94-99 season review boxset the other day some great racing from that classic era of Touring Car's some races were crashfests others flat out door too door banging awesomeness. Shame though 99 the manufactures who had pulled out were noticeable Audi, BMW, Porsche, Volvo left at the end of year still had some great racing. Some great livery's in those years

Glad i got too see the last ever Super Touring cars in action at this race sat a bridge great spot for the overtaking and some close racing and action. That was the first time i had seen night racing in person and sadly the last

1998 was one of the best BTCC seasons, it was also when the series attracted it's biggest crowds (i remember just how huge the crowd was at the 98 silverstone finale, it was particularly inflated by the presence of Nigel Mansell, who i got to meet during the pit road walkabout, the guy is a total legend).

It was also the event where, after one of the races, the Volvo team had some damaged bodywork at the back of their garage, and having seen folks being given these spares in the past, i asked a team member and he let me have a piece of the #14 car, i kept it until the day i moved house.

I thought the colours had literally been swapped when I first glanced at it earlier on. Smart livery like the 2020 one.

Their team wear looks miles better than what they sell as "fashion" clothing

This was the part in question, complete with Q8 branding...

One of my favourite ever racing games. We used to link PlayStations up and race a season as team mates.

Toca 2 was an amazing game, it fixed all the Toca 1 problems (snap oversteer and needing to win every race to progress) and made for a much more enjoyable experience.

I did the Coys festival a couple of times, was there in 1997 when the event was Ferrari themed, and that afternoon there was an autograph session featuring loads of Ferrari drivers of yesteryear. Sat at the table was Clay Regazzoni, John Surtees, and others. While queuing though, i asked a marshall who the old chap sat under a nearby tree was (as he was also in the enclosure), and they said he was Jose Froilan Gonzalez (legendary driver from the 1950's). I therefore in a moment of sheer nerve, asked the official if i could get his signature, and the guy took my programme over to him and he happily signed it for me. I still have that programme today, and the front cover is covered in signatures from old Ferrari drivers.

Found this article about the event too: https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/arch ... s-festival

I need to get my signed festival of speed programmes out one day and take a photo for you guys. Ive got 3 covered with various f1 drivers, touring car drivers, moto go riders and so on. My first ever signature i got there was Felipe Masse at the top of the hill climb.

Nice, i would definitely like to see them at some point.

I got Massa's sig after writing to Williams a few years back, they sent me a signed card from Bottas too.
