So really weird timing, but I got a shiny Salazzle in a Suprise Trade, and while the fact it's been given away in a surprise trade would make me strongly suspected it's cloned at the very least, it looks pretty legit. It's not got the 6 perfect IVs, it's not level 100 and it's not holding some super rare item. I like to have all Pokemon being ones I caught, so will happily give it away to anyone here?
Ahh so the shiny badge quest (or SBQ for short) requires you to find and capture a shiny Pokemon before moving on to a gym. By the end of it you should have a team of 8 shiny Pokemon you can use. Some people will hunt for a 9th before going to the League but it's not a general requirement of the challenge.
I've known some people to do this on older games, before the odds were inhanced, their final save files to run into the thousands of hours!
The Let's Go games are perfect for a SBQ because even without the shiny charm, the 25+ catch chain still gives quite good shiny odds!
Oh wow that's really cool! Personally I'm the same too, I prefer having myself as the OT on my shiny 'mon, it's a very kind offer and I'm sure someone won't mind having it! I believe the biggest giveaway a Pokémon has been genned is to go to a Pokémon Center and speak to the guy who can check memories, if they don't have any memories then it's genned.
