My 3GS doesn't recognise wireless networks any more. :|

Is this a typical problem, or is it just worth restoring the phone and seeing if that does the trick?

It worked \o/
However, I had to update ITunes (and the phone), and now about half of the songs won't sync with the phone. They show up, but they're greyed out.

You've got to tick some box somewhere in iTunes that says manually sync songs or something.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

Got a new 4S, trying to restore it from a backup of my 3GS, and every time without fail throws up an error of:

"iTunes could not restore the iPhone because the backup was corrupt or not compatible with the iPhone that is being restored"

FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK off iTunes.

What am I doing wrong here? :x

1) Using iTunes
2) Using iTunes and expecting it to work.

It's funny that most people I know personally who have a problem with iTunes are mainly PC users. Is it just Apple trolling PC Users here?

It must be. iTunes on PC is a hateful piece of gooseberry fool. iTunes on Mac works.

Best description I've seen for it. It really is hateful.

My iphone has really had a rough life   Had it 15 months now... the case is starting to fall apart (I'd rather the case fell apart than the phone), the microphones a bit dodgy since it got filled with melted kinder bueno, and washed in water... and now the text message alert has developed a stutter  Only gotta survive 8 more months

It's horribly inefficient, lacks the most basic functionality, is slow, resource heavy and horribly laid out.

Apart from that it's fine.

Would anyone be able to tell me if/how my iPhone 4 can be unlocked? It's already jailbroken but I want to be able to use any sim card in it (a giffgaff one) and it's locked to T-Mobile at the moment.

Apparently I can only do this if my iPhone was made before the 35th week of 2011 (1:30 on this video) and to find out when it was made I look at the 3rd, 4th and 5th digits of the serial number.

My digits are 112... so is that the 12th week of 2011? It obviously can't be 2001. My first thought was 12 meant December, which means I can't unlock it, but it definitely means week twelve, and I can?

I'm not bothered about losing my GPS so I reckon I'll save a lot of money unlocking this thing I just don't want to do it wrong :shifty:

I think you have to phone up and pay £15 or whatever to get them to do it.

Oh that sounds a lot easier. I didn't think they'd let me but good I'll give them a call tomorrow.
