I kind of want an iPhone. Getting sick of my Galaxy S randomly locking up. Alas stuck in a contract for now. :(

Time to try this downgrading lark. My first attempt already failed :x

What are you trying to do?

I was trying to downgrade to 4.3.3 so I could download an app from Cydia (Display Recorder) that would let me record what's happening on my iPhone screen, as tomorrow I'm off to Alton Towers and I was hoping to use iCarBlackBox as a G Sensor, so I could record some on-ride footage at the same time as measuring the kind of G's involved on various rides.

It's all part of my University Project, y'see. I'm designing a rollercoaster :shifty:

It would be fine if Display Recorder just worked with iOS5. I still don't understand why so many apps just aren't compatible with it yet, was it really that big a change?

I see. Didn't realise you could downgrade to a previous version.

You usually can, as long as you've got saved "SHSH blobs". I seem to get an error that no-one else seems to get though, so there aren't any obvious fixes anywhere on google :x Back on iOS5 now, and jailbroken no fuss, so I guess I'll just have to have another theme park trip when Display Recorder eventually gets updated.

Got a problem with with playing music, some plays yet some makes my iPhone quit back to the home screen. Anyone got any ideas why it does this? The music isn't missing from my laptop, so it's not that..

I'd just try removing the music, then load it back up and see if that fixes the problem.
What iOS version are you using?

Already tried doing that, same thing with the same music tracks. Using iOS 4.3.4 JB.

Edit

Switched to safe mode and they work, so I'm guessing it's something to do with Cydia and one of the updates I've recently done. And now narrowed it down to only tracks without a cover pic will play...

Seriously, why? I have never once had an issue with iTunes in the 6/7 years of using it.

I have a load of podcasts that have been named so I know the exact order in which to play. Put them into iTunes, mixes them up entirely, marking all with the same name meaning I have no idea where to start. I wanted them in ascending order, iTunes strawberry floats it all up ergo a banana split

As I've mentioned several times before, iTunes is one of the worst consumer products I've ever had the misfortune to use. If Sharepod hadn't started strawberry floating up my iPhone I'd never, ever touch iTunes again.

Didn't they fix that recently, so it now recognises duplicates being imported and asks if you still want to import the duplicates?
