Is there a way to put your own podcasts into the podcasts section of itunes, or does it still have to go into the music part?

The sister now loves her iphone, but I'm waiting for my screen protector to arrive before using mine properly.

If you right click a podcast in iTunes, click 'get info'. There is a scroll down in one of the tabs that allows you to change what your media is

That's better than my 3GS ever was.

Is that with the Setting Time Zone deactivated or left on?

Since upgrading to iOS5 my signal has been up and down, when I always had 5 bars. Googled it and seems I'm not alone anybody on here had the same problem?

Could just be iOS not displaying the signal strength properly. It's like when the iPhone 4 came out and Apple realised the algorithm they used to work out signal strength had been wrong for four years.

Huh...

Library: Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, Apps, Ringtones, Radio.

That's how it appears on my iTunes.

Maybe a complete uninstall then install it again? Otherwise I'm stumped. Even Podcasts aren't on my list.

Nothing wrong with iTunes. It just lets you customise the menu so that things you never use don't clutter up the place.

Edit > Preferences > General tab. Tick the ones you want to appear.

My resolve not to buy a 4S is weakening now that the battery issues seem to be partially resolved. Hmm.

People have a very funny definition of what gooseberry fool is, then.

I'm normally an apple hater but itunes is fine. It's not the greatest program I've ever used and it has made my tiny music collection look much bigger by duplicating stuff and it looks like it's been arranged by someone on work experience but itunes gets my podcasts automatically and my music is available if a little harder to find than I'd like.
It's not great but it's certainly not gooseberry fool.

This. It just about works, most of the time. If people think this is OK, great. Good for them. I think it's appalling considering the quality of products it's linked to.

I can't argue with that. Given that Apple have more money in reserve than the US government they could spare a few quid to make itunes much better I'm just saying it's not as bad as some people claim.
