The little fella is also difficult to spot as his size and markings (light ginger with light brown stripes) seen to allow him to blend in against the laminate flooring, cats are a tripping hazard anyway but I can tell this one will excell at it.

My cat tends to follow you about like a shadow and the other week she hadn't followed me into the kitchen for once, I was sorting some stuff out, turned around and stood on her the ninja!!!

Ran off, cat literally no idea about personal space!

Why is your cat following Ironhide around?

Guess this is the best place to put this. Was just posting some shirts and found a smart looking white yorkie/poodle cross with no tag (why? It had a collar but no tag) out on the street, which was odd. Sort of asked "where do you belong?" And it came bounding across the road to me while a car was oncoming which I gestured wildly to slow almost to a stop.

Kept asking the dog where it's from as if that would help and hear someone shouting in their house. I say "she's over here". Of course they open the door across the street while I was just picking up the dog to drop it off wherever and call some houses. So it immediately looks like I'm some weird guy cradling a dog. I explain I just saw your dog on the street and they ask abruptly in an accent, "who are you?". Well I'm not a bloody dog napped am I, I explained I am just a neighbour on the way to a post box and here is this strawberry floating dog at 11pm in the pitch black.

No thanks or anything just muttered about must have left the door open and stormed off.

What a moron tbh. Dog could easily have been run over or lost or worse. It seemed young and naive enough to approach anyone and he seemed to be in his 20s too. Tag your strawberry floating dog.

Was going to call animal shelter or strawberry float knows since there was no information on the dog despite it being collared, which is weird imo. Even my cat had one of those little scrolls in a pod thing.

The Kitten is getting a lot braver now, he keeps running up and down the hallway and is thoroughly exploring the house. He also has an extremely loud meow for such a small kitten.

Current list of possible names includes:

Remy
Idris
Walter
Clawed Monet
Sergei - he looks a bit like a meerkat with his markings and fold ears.

Clawed Monet is a great name

Witty biological-political hybrid jokes are the reason this place fails to cater to a wide audience

That is a great name! My advice is go for something pronounceable and not too weird - I've had way too many strange looks and awkward discussions in the vets office with mine!

It could be shortened to either Claude or Monet so it wouldn't be embarrassing to shout out but it'd still be brilliant to see it wrote down on official vets documents.

The kitten is obsessed with my TV, he keeps leaping up onto the TV unit and pawing at the screen, usually turning off the soundbar in the process (or turning it up and scaring himself).

I've also suggested

Catilla the Hun
Archduke Furdinand
Sir Purrcival

Its my sisters cat though, so unfortunately she gets the final say in the matter.

I'll probably use most of those names as nicknames for him (the previous cat had so many that he'd basically respond to anything you called him).

The neighbours cat has known us since she was a tiny kitten. And now she comes running if she hears me calling her baby instead of her actual name

The best nickname for the previous cat was Grand El Bush, which came about due to his ridiculously bushy tail.

I once spotted the name Grand L Busch in the credits of a film and nearly passed out from laughing so much

It’s weird when that happens, but your cat is strawberry floating adorable to be fair so totally understandable.

Loki’s been recognised in parks around Glasgow’s west end a few times after his own brush with Internet fame last year.
