Just had to have our dog Ada put down. Devastated

She was an old girl and had lived a great life, but it's still a tough blow to take.

Oh, Jenuall, I'm sorry to hear that. It's such a difficult time when a pet passes away. Hang in there, dude.

Sorry to hear about that Jenuall (and others who’ve sadly lost their pets over the past couple of pages) :(

What awful news, I'm really sorry to hear that, Jen.

Last Monday was one year since we said goodbye to Domino. :(

Thanks guys, it's still surprising how hard losing a pet hits you.

The kids were semi-prepared for the possibility of it but it's going to be a tough time breaking the reality of it to them.

Sorry to hear Jen. Losing any pet is sad, but when you've been together for a long time it makes it even harder. Just be glad you gave her a good life and she gave you lots of love while you had her <3

whos this?

Those are three of my Kuhli Loaches. They don't have names though, since they're basically indistinguishable from one another.

It's very rare to see them wander out from under their driftwood in the daytime, so I thought it warranted a photo!

I’d have thought the same

Our cat keeps eyeing up the angel on top of the tree, he seems to think its a bird.

I guarantee he'll have the tree over within the week.

First Christmas with the kittens, put the tree up on Friday, they've knocked it over twice (no harm luckily) and there are only four decorations left on it

Yeah this is our first Christmas with cats as well and I'm expecting the worst - the tree has been up for two days and so far we've had no real incidents but I can tell they're thinking about it! :dread:

We've got a couple of bird decorations that the kids made when they were little and both the cat and kitten have been eyeing them up - it's just a matter of time before the destruction begins!

Still feels weird that she's not around, I put my big winter coat on for the first time this year and found a poop bag in the pocket - almost lost it right there. Luckily it didn't happen in public otherwise I would have had to come up with some kind of excuse - "I just get really emotional when I think about dog gooseberry fool"

The fact my phone keeps throwing up loads of those "this time last year" photo reminders of her is not helping either :(

I hope the poop bag wasn't full!
