Introducing Mabel.

She's seven months old now (just came into her first season ) and is abolutely my new best bud. I've naturally got thousands of photos of her, but here's a small selection that Imgur would let me upload!

My parents have just had a new lounge carpet fitted and the cat is too scared to walk on it

He keeps sitting in the doorway staring at it but won't go in.

Just got back from the vets after having our 10 year old cat Chi Chi put down (her full name was Cheetara, but Chi Chi was what we all called her). We got a new kitten a few weeks ago and was fully expecting Chi Chi to annihilate him, but she just...didn't. Then a couple of weeks ago her jaw started grinding really loudly and she stopped eating. We tried all sorts of pain meds and convalescent food but she didn't want to know about any of it, and ended up going from an active cat that used to go outside and would come down for some cuddles in the evening to a cat that would just lie completely still under the bed. There was a two month wait for (really expensive) dental x-rays, but she had no quality of life at all anymore and was losing weight quickly. You feel a little bit guilty like you're giving up on them, but it was the kindest thing to do in the end and she went really quickly. We'd just set the house up for having two cats, and we thought we'd have a few more years of her yet

Oh mate, so sorry to hear that. Sounds like she was well loved and you gave her a great life though and you'll always have those memories
