Cute, that's a nice spot she's got there!

Feeling knackered today, been up since 4:45 with this tiny terrorist:

Somehow managed to miss this!

She's doing well thanks, settling in nicely and got the hang of sleeping through the night pretty quickly which was a relief. I'd half forgotten how much work a puppy is! :fp:

She's big enough to go out on walks now so here she is sporting her very smart new collar:

Image

Still not entirely sure on the relationship with the cats in the house - Ginny our older cat doesn't really give a gooseberry fool about her, other than to give the odd hiss to tell her to back the strawberry float up when she's trying to get all "puppy excited" around her, and then occasional withering look to me as if to say "why the hell did you bring this little gooseberry fool into our house?" It's the kitten that's proving interesting - half the time they seem to want to rip into each other (although I'm pretty sure it's playfighting!) but then they spend a fair amount of time cuddling together and generally being cute - case in point:

Speaking of the kitten, she has decided today that the dishwasher is the hip new place to be:

So shiny!

The last of my original batch of guppies died last night. I couldn't see any signs of illness, so I can only think it was old age, given he was nearly 2. :(

I got a batch of 5 females a week ago, and with any luck he'll have sown his wild oats in that time, and we'll have some little Spooky Juniors before long.

Jack does something similar where he is half out but on his side.

Clearly we humans have no real understanding of what constitutes being comfortable!

This is her from last night:

"Hmm, shall I curl up on the nice comfy cushion? No, lying with my arse on it, body lying on the hard floor and head stuck under an armchair - that's the position for me!" :toot:

My rabbit lies underneath the sofa all the time, presumably because it feels safe and dark like a burrow.

Dogs, however, I can't explain! :slol:

I've long since given up attempting to understand the psyche of a dog!

Cats are even worse.

My old (now deceased) cat once laid asleep on an upturned plug, hissing at anyone who tried to move him off it.

Current cat likes to sleep on the kitchen floor, on his back with his front paws folded across his chest Dracula style

My cat has a new meow which Ive worked out as meaning 'up' as she settles quite happy being carried like a baby for a while. Sometimes she wants to sniff a new thing that's up high but mostly she wants to watch me cook dinner at pan level. It's cute as strawberry float

FFS

He'll also do this thing where he wants me to make his bed, like he'll stand by it and look at me, then I'll ask "do you want me to make your bed?" - big tail wags. I then make it really comfy, with a blanket cushion on the side he likes to rest his head on, and the twat will get in and scrap all the blankets to the middle, spin around a few times and then just awkwardly lie over the pile like a shipwrecked boat on a rock, before loudly huffing because he's uncomfortable.
