Don't rabbits live in hutches/cages for the most part? Unless you're lining his house with wires I don't see how he's able to do so much damage!?

Id never heard of rabbits in houses (I've had pet rabbits when I was a lot younger) until I took over the house my sister had been renting before me. She'd had a rabbit just mooching around the house like a dog or something Being the lazy banana split she is, she'd let it gooseberry fool everywhere, but not cleaned it up. When I went to move the fridge and stuff piled around it in the kitchen to clean it all, I found mounds of rabbit gooseberry fool that she'd just kicked under the fridge and put boxes on top of to hide it

He has free rein over the living room when we're in there. We only really put him in his cage before bed, or if he's being a twat.

We left the room for about 15 minutes, in which time he'd managed to weasel his way behind the TV unit- which is barricaded by pet fences and storage boxes, mind you- and had himself a feast on that good, good spicy hay.

Ah okay, fair play to him then - clearly waited for the right moment and took full advantage of it!

She is an utter strawberry floating banana split. I've said it before, but if she was a brother and not a sister, I'd have beaten the gooseberry fool out of her for the way she behaved when we were clearing my dad's house.

Thought I'd revive this thread a little. My cat of 13 years passed away during lockdown. It was absolutely heartbreaking, couldn't be with her when she was euthanised (due to agrresive cancer) and had to say goodbye in the carpark of the vets where she was extremely frightened due to the sound of the traffic and being unwell and in her cat box.

Anyway, 2 months on, I've just got a new kitten, incredibly cute and amazes me just how different her personality was to my last cat. This time I've taken loads of pictures, I'd completely forgotten just how great the kitten stage is. I've got the next week fully off work, but long may working from home continue! We've had her 3 days, she is still shy but sat on me for ages last night for cuddles and to be stroked.

It's been a grim few months for many different reasons, but she has really brightened up the end of the school holidays and my six year old boy couldn't be happier. Her name is Luna.

The cat is getting bullied by a much larger cat that keeps coming into the garden.

Had to keep him in last week as he had a nasty bite on his leg after said bigger cat attacked him. Any ideas how to stop the little strawberry floater coming back (other than killing it obviously).

This cat keeps coming into our house when the window is open. It makes itself right at home. It was coming fairly infrequently but recently has stepped it up, we see it every couple of days, sometimes every day. Woke up this morning and it was on the bed mewing in my face.

Not really sure what to do about it. It's cute, so I don't mind having it around, not fed it but might get some treats. The little bastard left a whole dead pigeon on our doorstep last week.

I guess I'll just enjoy its company for now and see what happens.

I don't know if I want to be adopted by it! I assume it has owners somewhere, but equally I can't really be bothered doing anything to find them. I don't really want any more dead birds at the door, and it's pretty smelly as cats go. I'll also feel terrible if we move away and have to leave it. I guess at that point I might look for whoever owns it, to check it's not a stray. Seems too well fed to be stray, but then it could be playing several households to get food.

I've had to make the very gooseberry fool decision to shut down my fish tank. The amount of problems I've had with it over the past year have really taken the shine off it for me, and I just don't have the time or money to maintain it properly anymore.

I've found a few people on a hobbyist forum to take the inhabitants off my hands this weekend, but I feel like absolute gooseberry fool for getting rid of them. I'm really gonna miss them.

I swear fish are one of the hardest pets to maintain. Near constant cleaning of some sort needs to be happening.

I wouldn't mind as much if it was a freshwater tank, but there's so much that goes into keeping a marine tank. There's about five different parameters you have to test on the regular to keep the major elements in balance. That on top of the extremely specific water flow and lighting requirements makes the whole affair a bloody tightrope walk. Anything can and will go to gooseberry fool in no time flat.

And the water changes. Jesus. Hooking up a filter to the garden tap, filling up two great big jerry cans and then heaving 50L of water up the pissing stairs, to then weigh out nearly a kilo of sea salt, mix it in, heat it, measure and tweak the salinity to match the tank levels, syphon out all the crap, then replace it by the jugful.
Every bloody weekend.

Take my advice- get a Betta fish and call it a day.

Fish can get strawberry floated, literally the hardest pets to keep alive.

Unless you get weather loaches which are seemingly invincible to even the filthiest water, Had one that lived for 25 years and survived leaping out of the tank on numerous occasions.

So on the last day of our holiday we went for a walk up to a hillfort and broch but never made it, because we ran into this gorgeous creature on the hillside, middle of nowhere, hungry, fur full of burrs and gorse, and desperate for affection. It let us carry it the miles back to the car where it then sat on my knee for the two hour drive to Newcastle. The vet says its a young adult male, underweight, not neutered, ticks, worms, no microchip, probably been out in the wild for a while, although it is SUPER friendly and litter trained. So now I guess we have a cat.

I know right, he's proper fancy I think he'll be regal when he's up to a better weight and in good condition. He's just sleeping all the time at the moment, I think he's quite weak.
