:( Getting Aslan vibes from that first one, but he looks a lot better in the second picture, probably just traumatised more than anything.

Yeah, he doesn't have any scrapes or whatever on his body so I think it was sort of side of car face first.

Its a horrid catch 22 with needing less dtlrugs to check neulogical properly, but needing them for mouth.

Also doesn't help he is a grump normally, if has always been a bit of a if he doesn't like something he will just sit or lay with sort of strawberry float off face on, very much like the second pic.

Bit of an update.

He has his feeding tube in so he is eating now, he is home for the weekend and he is pretty much as he was before. He is wobbly on his front left paw but not too bad.

Very positive though so that's good.

Glad to hear he's relatively okay.

My brother and his partners cat is getting quite old (17) and fell down the stairs the other week, he was a bit bruised but otherwise fine. Brotthers partner iis a vets practice manager so she was able to take him to work with her to make sure he was alright.

Glad the fella's on the mend Errkal, he looks like a cutie. (Would I say that about almost every cat? Yes I probably would. Even sphinxes have their moments.)

Sorry about your fella Finiarél. :(

Looking way better now. Feeding tube gone, he has only 1 tooth now, but much better.

Hahaha yeah, he hadn't long had his feeding tube out, he also a bit of a grump face so that's partly a normal look for him.

He has been eating more today and walking about, walking much better and that so need to see how he is with the food as it's kibble stuff and he doesn't have many teeth now so not sure how he will get on, might need to see what vet diet food there is as he has never has anything other than food the vets sell and I'm not changing that now ...

Yeah very much so, vet bill has racked up mind, he is insured but I think it is around the 2k mark right now, and that's with all the drugs and stuff being cost price !

Put the dog in day care yesterday, and came down to wake him up this morning to find a Jurassic park sized pile of dog gooseberry fool and diahrea in the middle of the kitchen floor. He hasn't done a poo inside since he was a puppy, so it has to be them feeding him treats while he's there (we don't give him treats anyway, plus he's got a sensitive tummy If he has anything chicken based). When I've picked him up from that place before, the owner has given him at least 5 treats in the time it took to put his lead on and walk out the door with him, so no wonder he shat himself in the night if that's been going on all day.

Has anyone got a new dog with a toddler in the house? Is this a terrible idea?

We rescued a cat and a kitten a few weeks back. They hadn't been living together for long when we got them and so were still a bit wary of each other, the older cat wasn't particularly keen on the hyperactive gooseberry fool the new one was doing and was not afraid to let him know about it! We weren't sure if they were going to warm up to each other so it was nice to find them together like this yesterday:

Clearly they have decided to team up and direct all of their ire toward the humans!

The humans deserve it though so that's okay.
