Brother and sister which we've named Hamilton and Coco. So far only living in the lounge which we've made pretty kitten safe and they've settled in really well after a very nervy first evening from them.

did you name them after the musical and the film?

Hamilton was! We had decided on that name a little while ago but we were struggling to think of name for a female, Coco ended up being a mix of the film, the tennis player (Wimbledon was on  ) and it generally seemed a good cat name.

My cats had their yearly checkups yesterday and they've lost enough weight to be well within their healthy weight range so I was really pleased about that. Not that they were hugely overweight, but it's nice to know they're all good.

The service at the vets was appalling though. They completely overbooked on appointments so the car park was heaving, with a string of cars queueing just for a space. Ended up stuck in the car for almost an hour past the appointment time. My lost time doesn't bother me, what pisses me off is having to put my cats through that. Poor little buggers were terrified and shaking more the longer they made us wait.

The vets we go to have always been good but yesterday was bad enough that I'm considering looking for somewhere else.

My sister took her cat for his yearly checkup yesterday.

Took nearly 40 attempts to get the little sod into the cat box, including a hilarious moment when she forgot to properly close the door and he escaped and hid under the sofa.

Was wondering where the cat was hiding (hadn't seen him all day) earlier on and spotted him in the garden, perched on the empty bird bath.

The 2nd pic cracks me up every time I see it, I've never know another cat with such an expressive face.

I don't mind what you've done with that as long as it remains solely on GRcade, I don't want it becoming a meme of Towel Guy proportions.

Cat doesn't seem to be able to meow properly atm, only just noticed as he's been asleep most of the day. he doesn't seem too distressed but there's clearly something not right.

A trip to the vets seems likely.

Edit: its probably laryngitis caused by excessive meowing (fairly likely seeing as he never shuts up) so if he's still having problems at the weekend it'll be time for the vets then.

I posted on a different thread the other day about my cat having not been home since Monday. He's still not back. :(

My partner stuck a couple of missing posters up around the neighborhood yesterday. Saw this morning someone had ripped one down and had their dog gooseberry fool on it.
