When dogs bark on the TV my cats crap themselves and run out of the room.

My fingers are all ripped up from the kitten :( I can never be bothered picking up a toy so I just use my hand.

Silly boy.

The missus clips the cats claws so they can't scratch us or stuff.

It's worth it. They're just making sure you know who's the real boss.

I am not a fan of kittens usually, as soon as I open my bedroom door they sneak in and go to investigate Frog. :x This one is so cute though, it snuggles up to you and lies down on its back to go to sleep.

The best toys are jingly soft toys that are connected to a wand. Cats strawberry floating love them and you can keep them interested whilst always remaining in control and therefore bonding with them. Every cat owner should have one.

If you don't have one, you can make one with toilet paper and string.

One of my cats, a huge old tom, always goes mental every time there is wrapping paper and ribbons everywhere on Christmas. We piled the paper on the floor and let him dive around in it and he had hours of fun.

Well, not having to go through the hassle of bothering to put enough effort into the welfare of your cats sure does seem like a sweet reason for not letting them be cats.

Idiot.

Doesn't that impair them? Mine use their claws to scale or climb over the fence next door.

Nope, you just take the sharp tip off they can still do everything as normal, one of mine lives jumping about climbing fences, trees and stuff and its never harmed him.

It just means they cant scratch stuff up.

We have to clip our old cat's claws as she doesn't do anything to wear them down, so they end up growing too long and curling round and eventually digging into her pads.

Clipping a cat's claws is just like cutting your nails. It's not declawing them.

Exactly this, the Americans seem to like to de-claw which is just odd, and seems to me to be really cruel.

Cats and Boxes

 He does look so much like my friend's cat (without the lion mane) whom I am going to see tonight.

I guess black cats do tend to look pretty similar though.
