Big bump because we've just bought a puppy!

Pure pedigree Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch. Eight weeks old, brought it straight home last night. Cutest thing ever, I'll post pics later on when I can get them off my camera.

Bought from outstanding breeders - certified free of the problems that can affect that breed. It comfortably sits on my lap at the moment but it has paws like a bear - she's gonna be a beast.

Great dogs those, they have teeth like needles and are great family pets as well as being very bright (for a dog).

I kind of feel sorry for you if someone ever breaks in to your house, all the blood and body parts you will have to clean up after she has finished them off will be a pain.

Anyone have dogs who do really weird stuff? My dog trys to make love to the towel I use to dry him with.

It's not that weird. Sounds like either a response to stress or excitement (depending how he views bathtime). Having him fixed may or may not fix it. Our female, spayed dog used to go into a humping frenzy everytime we took her out for a walk.

It could also be medical but if it's only rarely and only at bath time I wouldn't worry.

He is almost 5 now so I'd rather leave him as nature intended.
It isn't at bath time (rarely shower him TBH) it is normally when I'm drying him after he's been out for a walk in the rain. I think he just gets a bit frustrated and needs a bitch to shag.

She's wicked

My gf and work together and we found out on Monday morning our only client was being wound up. We're owed 5.5k for April that we're never going to get. Having the dog around has been a real bonus as we're trying to pick up the pieces.

She's a handful, and is growing so fast it's scary, but is learning well too. Only problem is she won't gooseberry fool in the rain, and it's done nothing but rain since we got her.

Unfortunately, Nala decided that being alone wasn't for her, so she strawberry floated our gooseberry fool right up. She totally shredded the lino in the kitchen. Not bad for a day's work.

This was a couple of weeks ago and she's calmed down since then. Which is good, cos doggy daycare is expensive.

Unfortunately, Nala decided that being alone wasn't for her, so she strawberry floated our gooseberry fool right up. She totally shredded the lino in the kitchen. Not bad for a day's work.

This was a couple of weeks ago and she's calmed down since then. Which is good, cos doggy daycare is expensive.

Nothing compared to what our Labrador Ollie did to the kitchen when he was still a pup. Got home, opened the kitchen door to a massive cloud of dust. After the dust settled, we found that he had started eating the walls through to the dining room, leaving a visible hole down by the door. He also completely tore off the wallpaper on that wall and had started doing the same to the next one. If I hadn't come home at the same time as my mum I think she might have killed him, never ever seen her so angry before or since (she got a new kitchen out of it though, so she won )

Yeah, it wasn't that bad - no structural damage, thank god. Only took half a day to lay some new vinyl tiles.

I was watching a Toon reserve game so was late home, and the gf found her. I think she cried a bit but it's hard to be mad at the dog. She just stood there like she didn't know what the fuss was about.

Nala gets on so well with Springers. If we ever got her a little playmate, they'd be near the top of the list, I think.

Woah, I'm not trying to start anything with this but atleast leaving cats on their own doesn't leave you with any worry that something like that'll happen (in my experience anyway). Bitches be crazy.

Well, yeah, cats are lower maintenance. I'm a dog person through and through, and I'm aware you're not trolling, so I'll agree to disagree.


I will say this, though - we have kids playing football behind our garden wall. Harmless in itself, but it inevitably comes over and they always try and help themselves to it, rather than come and ask for it back like I did in my day. The gf does not like this, says it makes her nervous.

Last week, a ball came over at about 7pm, so I quietly let the dog into the garden, knowing what would happen next. Kid got half way over the wall when she started barking. Proper, gutteral, going mental at him. Lad shat himself, jumped back over.

Two minutes later, there's a knock at the door and they politely asked for their ball back. I told him if it came over again, it belonged to the dog. Not seen them since. That's how the system should strawberry floating work.

I hate my cat. Every morning she is in my way while rushing for work . At night time I can't even bang my missus without her kickin a fuss. I think she bipolar .

I've done the same but with cats. cat comes into the back garden to take a crap, open the kitchen door. ' Where's the cats Bryn? ' He goes flying out into the garden and proper gives them a good scare. Haven't had cats come over in a long time.

Edit - I'd just like to say, We have a fence up so the dog can't actually get into the back garden, But he has his ' Turf ' if you get me? And he'll come running back in as soon as i call him.
