Last photography topi I could find was a fair few years ago. Not sure these topics really take off but who knows maybe there is more of you around now.

I am trying to get into Photography and started just before Covid happened. I started with parkrun and junior parkruns taking pictures of runners but want to branch out and do more city shots and people portrait.

I used to use instagram for pictures of food and than it changed like everyone uses it for of pictures of me now I am trying to rain it back to photography pictures. I also use FLICKr which is more for parkrun pictures.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro and a Nikon D5500 and have three difference lenses. I also am looking at getting a second one (D7500) to use alongside it.

To be fair that thread is literally as old as the forum. I've been meaning to start a new, more encompassing photography thread for a while so no reason it can't be this one.

Explains why it never came up when I typed Photography. Although I hope this captures more of the Photography side, if you post a picture explain what you used to take it, how you took it etc etc.

Cheers! So I've just started using it for work, but anytime I go to edit a picture it just freezes and becomes unresponsive for 10/15 seconds. My PC is more than capable of running it without any issue too.
I'm at a loss as to why it stutters about!

The only photography I really do is with my phone and I post random stuff to twitter, but may as well post my latest photo if that's what this thread is going to be for!

that is very odd, where is it being run from, is it on a HDD or and SSD?

I think it should be on by default, and I’m not sure how much difference it actually makes, but make sure Lightroom is using GPU acceleration in Preferences.

Otherwise, yeah it might be something to do with the storage.

It's running from an nvme m.2 ssd. So shouldn't be an issue with that, I downloaded classic and I'm not getting any grief from that one, so far. So must just be something conflicting with the other version.

perhaps, the creative cloud manager is god awful.
