Nando's and Greggs is a running joke with the Brits who live out here because we all have unreasonably fond nostalgic memories of the place and it's always the first place we all make beelines for (after Greggs but that's only coz that's in the airport) and every time we are instantly reminded that it's actually just slightly naff chicken.

Every. Single. Time.

But it always reminds me of this one really weird time I was there when I ordered the wings, and you know the urban legend type thing about the dude who goes in and asks for the mildest spice level but asks for the black 'extra hot' flag to be put on it so he still looks big in front of his mates/missus? Well, I always get lemon and herb because I don't like spicy food and don't give a gooseberry fool about anyone knowing.

So my order comes out, 'lemon and herb' flag and all, and this bloke at the next table looks over and says 'Ah schoolboy error mate, you're meant to get the mild wings with the spicy flag, not the spicy wings and the lemon flag!'

And I go 'Nah mate, it's lemon and herb all round'

And he goes 'Sure mate' then winks at me, and goes back to his meal.

I look at my wings and have a mini existential crisis and then eat them and am promptly disappointed.
