I know the exact video, the Station Nightclub fire. We were shown it as part of fire training too, and that video will live with me forever. Truly harrowing.

It was strawberry floating terrifying how quickly that went from 'Ah gooseberry fool the pyrotechnic was a bit enthusiastic' to 'Ah, we're in an inferno'. It's literally less than a minute.

I seem to remember that that's the root of the 'Band requires a bowl of M&Ms with all the brown ones removed' urban legend in that it's got nothing to do with the M&Ms but more to do with how closely the staff can follow instructions. And if the band couldn't trust them to prep a bowl of chocolates, they wouldn't trust them to make their pyrotechnics.

Yeah this is the one we were shown for fire marshal training at work, frightening how quickly it spreads.

I believe it was a catalyst in promoting significant change in fire safety in these kinds of settings.
