The Playlist Game - SHORT AND SWEET - Results pg 3!

Hello all, I know this is a little bit early but it'll save me some time in the morning cutting and pasting Spotify links.

I'd like you to PM me with your favourite five playlists, ranked from 1st to 5th. This can be the playlist you like the music best of, what you think fits the theme well, or just something you think is clever and original. It's entirely up to you.

Closing date for votes is 11.59 on Sunday. If you've entered I would ideally like a vote, you will score -5 for your playlist if you fail to do so. If you haven't entered you are still welcome to vote.

Please feel free to discuss the playlists in this thread, but please try to keep yours anonymous, this adds to the fun of the game.

You don't have to listen to every minute of every playlist to vote. Please try to enjoy the music as much as possible, but I want this competition to be a casual, fun way to share music. Enjoy it, and don't stress too much.

Indeed! The only downside is that it's genuinely taking me a good hour or so to copy and paste all these links and format the post properly. Might have to change the cutoff point so that I can do it in the evening instead of last thing at night or first thing in the morning.

I’ve listened to half of them now (not in the order posted), and I’m taking notes as I go this time, but there is already one that’s miles ahead of the others.

Honestly that's not really the issue, the problem is that the code from the Spotify links needs changing to work in the forum BBcode. I posted the method in the 'Last Album You Listened To' thread.

Remove the red bits, add the blue bit. Wrap in [Spotify] tags.

So yeah, that multiplied by 14. And I'm doing it on my phone because my laptop is broke! Don't think I'm moaning too much though, I'd still rather have lots of entries. Really enjoying hosting the competition.

Enjoying all of them this week, definitely a lot of music I really like in these ones.

Honestly if you just linked to the spotify playlist that alone would be fine! I can't really use the embedded links and have to open them on spotify anyway because there's for some reason no volume control and it blows my ears out.

Yeah I know, I like how it looks with the embedded playlists. Plus it makes it easier to see everyone's entries at a glance. I don't really mind making the extra effort, I'm just venting haha.

Had quick listen through them all; a good few are short and noisy rather than short and sweet, but theres lots of tracks I like on each. It's gonna come down to how well they flow together. Though might make one exception for a playlist whereby I like all the songs!

Yeah this took me by surprise too.

I like #10’s theme-within-a-theme.

I do have a sneaking suspicion that the ones where *all* the tracks are under 2m were formed by a quick Google of “songs under 2 mins” because that was the average you had to work with :shifty:

Or sorting ones own music library by song length? That's what I did...

I'd wager the creators of #6 & #9 are likely to give one another points, seeing as their playlists are 40% identical.
