The list I put at No. 1, my hands were kind of tied given my own submission.

I hope they returned the favour. :shifty:

Longies, here we go...

#12. Far less Indie sounding than I expected from the title. 3 songs on here I really liked, and 2 I already knew well anyway, very enjoyable, and a good mood flowing through it.

#13. Started strong, with two heavy hitting tracks, but then it all softens out a bit for tracks 3 & 4. Not bad songs, but overall it kind of lost energy as it went on.

#14. Some beautiful sad tunes in this, really consistent throughout. Really enjoyed that Spiritualized song as an opener, totally new to me, but want to hear more from them.

#15. Really liked this one. These instrumentals really went on a bit of a journey, a wide range of sounds and styles in there, rally liked the heavier stuff, but then taking a break in between made it feel pretty complete.

#17. Another very emotional playlist, really enjoyed it, almost forgot I was listening to a playlist for the competition and was just really enjoying it as some background music.

Think I can narrow down a top 5 from these.

I did debate leaving some fake comments on my own playlist for exactly that reason, but thought that would only look even more embarrassing after the fact.

It doesn't really matter, I don't think anyone is really that bothered about knowing who made what. If you do want to make it slightly less obvious, I recommend posting your thoughts over several separate posts at different times. If everyone does that, you'd really have to be looking to notice who did what.

I'll post my full thoughts tomorrow but I absolutely adored NOW! That's What I Call Songs With Short Names coming on.

I had it on the car and it was just a pure nostalgia trip that took me back 20 odd years to being a teenager and properly getting into rock music for the first time.

What I really liked was, bar Song 2 (which is always fun let's be fair) the songs weren't necessarily the biggest hits from those bands releases at the time. But still big enough songs for me to know word by word.

Had a proper rock out in the car and probably looked like an absolute twat to anyone watching

See Knoyleo, that's how you make everyone think a playlist isn't yours.

For anyone who liked Go! by Public Service Broadcasting (the one with the Moon landing clips), I'd heartily recommend the BBC podcast Thirteen Minutes to the Moon. It deep dives each minute of the radio chatter in the lunar module's descent and goes back to the creation of the computer and the failed launches of the late fifties. It also explains why the third guy is the only one who screams "GO!" at the top of his voice while everyone else is playing it cool

And obviously check out the album The Race For Space by PSB as it's absolutely excellent. And another vote for the BBC podcast, that is also very cool.

Congratulations all for a great week once again. Over the moon with that :D Mine started out as an opera and I was going to have a REALLY long title telling the story, but the songs I wanted were only 91 characters so I had to completely pivot to modern classical stuff. I'm glad so many people enjoyed it!

I was very close to voting for Knoyleo's as well but it just lost out on my personal list. Mine was clearly a bit Marmite, I either got high points or none.

My votes
15 It comes and it goes, it comes and it goes
3 Effort? No I'm really idol
8 Concentration Aids
4 Short Round
10 Reach for the stars!

Very high quality this week, if I'd had to pick a sixth best I'd have been in trouble!
