The Playlist Game - THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT - Results Pg 7!

I liked that one as a nostalgia fest, it's not going to trouble my top 5 rankings but it was nice to revisit some of those songs. That Ash song was never included on an album so I always forget it exists.

It's just not my style of music, ultimately. Totally understand its popularity, it just isn't for me. Couple of absolutely smashing playlists this week, some great music. :wub:

I'm struggling to find a winner this week, there's quite a few 'good' playlists (and a few that aren't my cup of tea!), but nothing that's really jumped out at me as being the clear winner

Also, not to be "that guy" but isn't #15 too long by 5s?

The rules say "no longer than 20 minutes" and it's longer! I discarded some songs for pushing the time, either it matters or it doesn't!

Yes it is, I did ok this with the contestant in question as their playlist was quite late in and they didn't have time for changes. It's 5 seconds, I don't think it's worth marking down for that.

I did substitute a track last week when I found my list was
6 seconds over, so I will be penalising harshly

8 and 17 occupy very much the same space for me, lovely chilled out music to zone out to. I enjoy them both very much.

I think 8 is my favourite so far. I've been recommended Trentemoller a few times but never actually taken the time to listen - I'm very impressed.

Who decided to ruin a perfectly good Flock of Seagulls track with that Spandau Ballet garbage?

I can't hear I Ran without thinking of this.

How's everyone getting on with listening to these? I know that there's a lot to get through this week, are we all still ok with Sunday night as the deadline?

I've got two more to do so it shouldn't be too difficult to finish them. I would've had no trouble but I had to spend over an hour on the phone yesterday so that screwed me over a bit.

I've trimmed about 6 or 7 from the list and need to play the remaining ones again.
