Biggest surprise for me was Around The World In 5 Plays, I looked at that and thought there won't be anything for me but I eally enjoyed it, especially the 9 minify epic by Alrest. A really interesting playlist!

Yeah this was my favourite playlist, some really cool stuff in there. Not everything was my cup of tea, but it was the only one that really felt 'international', if you know what I mean.

Playlist 7 was my fave, though knew all the songs already and didn't really get all the references.

Other tracks that I wasn't overly familiar with that stood out for me were Kraftwerk, Low, Tori Amos, Justice, Xylouris White and Alcest. Also, can't beat the classic San Francisco!

A couple of Playlists really assaulted my ears :lol:

and I never want to hear that bloody Lisa Stansfield song again, ever!

I loved Alcest's song but a pet hate of mine is fade outs on songs that build up and up. Other than that though, a 9 minute epic :datass:

I've still got two playlists to listen to, but I'm not sure if they'll change my ranking - my top 2 certainly feel locked in at this point!

I'm assuming it goes without saying that we can't rank our own playlist as the best?! :slol:

Yeah that's correct. I should probably mention that in the rules.

Think Around the world in 5 plays is my favourite one, it's the one which fbest its the theme.

Drift to Space is dreadful.

I'm quite surprised by that. After seeing the other entries, I figured I needed to raise my game quite a bit as I'd not taken a huge amount of time listening to how my playlist came together. But turns out I don't need to. :toot:

Whilst Nigel and I are somewhat disappointed not to take the crown, we can't be too sorry to have lost out to a couple of great playlists from Rex and dmin there and we will come back stronger next time.

Glad people enjoyed my playlist. The international flavours were Greek, French, Bulgarian, Tuareg and Bahamian.

It makes more sense when listening to the album as it fades into the next song - Ecailles De Lunes Part 2.

When I first came up with the competition I thought about doing an overall leaderboard, but I wanted to leave things open to anyone who missed the first week and I think that might be off-putting for new people. But yeah, feel free to bask in the glory for a bit!

Good effort from everybody on week 1, definitely a few tracks and artists there that I'm going to be listening to more as a result of this which is always a win!

Whoever gave my list a 5 im sorry I countered it by not voting myself but you're good people. :toot:
