The Playlist Game - WHAT'S MY THEME? - Results (pg7)

I’m having a love/hate relationship with #1[2] in that I only seem to like every second track. On the one hand, there’s still a lot there I like, but that’s easy when you use a jillion tracks. :lol:

The Zelda[Celeste] stuff adds nothing though.

Playlist 7, wow. Just built and built. That Ghost track!

This week I think I'm going to be torn between playlists with songs I really love and those that might not be to my taste but I like how they've interpreted the playlist title.

Not really feeling any of these playlists in all honesty, nothing is really bad as such and most have one or two songs I don't dislike but nothing particularly stands out.

I've been through a few more this afternoon. I kind of liked the garden one so that can go on the shortlist, not sure on the remix one as track 1 is my least favourite on it (too long). Not feeling 7 and just started on 10 which has been promising.

I utterly detest the Garden playlist, it's so not my cup of tea that it's no longer tea but a cup of warm yak vomit.

I wasn't massively fond of the Feeling Good remix but I quite liked the others in that playlist.

YEEHAW VIBES is good, apart from Bon Jovi I really like it.

#6 The Morricone tracks are stone cold classics, but I'm not a fan of Bon Jovi and this is peak "middle of the road" BJ. Knights of Cydonia is always a great listen, but it doesn't scream YEEHAW to me. Good playlist overall

The video for Knights of Cydonia is Wild West themed but it doesn't really come across in just the song.

Muse do a version of Man With A Harmonica before playing Knights Of Cydonia live, which I'm guessing is the reason that's there.

Ah okay, that's why it's lost on me then never seen them love and never watched the video!

I always associated it as more of a cavalry charge type vibe rather than a cowboy one

It'd have to include Night Call (or Protovision) by Kavinsky if I'd picked that playlist title, probably have a couple more synthwave tracks too although its a genre I don't really listen to often there are a few I could see working well with that theme.

I definitely think I shouldn't have picked the title I went with.

I wonder if this week I might shortlist five lists on musical merit, then order that five based on how well they meet the title theme...
