Yeah there is definitely a few different ways to go about ranking them this week, Playlist 7 was really good but I'm not sure it meets its theme as well as other playlists. That said, I am well aware that I am massively overthinking this

It'd have to include Night Call (or Protovision) by Kavinsky if I'd picked that playlist title, probably have a couple more synthwave tracks too although its a genre I don't really listen to often there are a few I could see working well with that theme.

I definitely think I shouldn't have picked the title I went with.

From listening to the tracks on there, it sounds like a synthwave/darksynth mix so it seems like someone had similar ideas.

I'd probably be picking a bunch of lo-fi stuff if I'd gone with it. For what we have, playlist fifteen probably does the same thing but slightly better with the Dreampop stuff that's been picked for it.

I've made my way through 11 of these and there are 2 that really stood out. Will post some thoughts later.

Couple left to do but favourite track (and not necessarily my favourite playlist) is that Kendrick Lamar one by a mile. It's like peak Prince. So good.

Anything featuring Thundercat is worth listening to.

How's everyone getting on with these this weekend? Is the extra listening time going to be plenty to get through them all?

Plenty of time for me, going to need to listen to a few a second time this week as I'm struggling to separate a few in my provisional top 5 so far!

I should be OK too - got a reasonable idea of what I want in my top five!

I'm struggling to find 5 I like, will be rating them based on how well they fit the theme as well as how much I like the songs.

I'm wondering if I should mentally swap the god awful acoustic November Rain for the original that was blatantly only jettisoned for time reasons. The rest of the playlist is quite good!

I've not gotten through any over the weekend, but will be making good progress again in the week once I'm back at my desktop. The mobile spotify app for free users is awful and only lets you listen to playlists shuffled with other songs mixed in.

I'm not entirely sure if that playlist hangs together ok. I like the interpretation of the theme but it does smack a little of 'what songs have months in, oh this will do'. They're all decent enough songs, but it's a bit of a jarring mix.

I am unsure if you've gained any enjoyment from playing this game in any week I've been involved!

I was having a good time listening to the playlist in general though. I think it might not be the most organic musically but it's a witty interpretation of the title.

I was just disappointed because I saw November Rain and was looking forward to the original, then that bloody thing came through my speakers!

There's been several playlists I have liked but I guess Im a lot more vocal about things that I dislike.

Note to self: be more positive.

FEEL GREAT WITH YOUR WONDER is really good, a nice selection of songs that despite being heavily focused on a single artist doesn't feel too repetitive.

Who'd have known that Stevie Wonder's greatest hits + Sister Sledge would finally be the playlist to placate Ironhide

There's not really much to dislike about that combination.

I also really liked the SHIMMERING BLUES GUITAR playlist.
