Hollow Knight is only $7.50, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 is just $9.89.
AC:Origins base is $24. Complete edition of Horizon is $15.

Everything on sale here: https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018/11 ... ion-store/

Where do you get US PSN Credit? It seems that CD Keys stopped selling them.

I tend to use PC Game Supply, no issues with them at all

How does buying US store games work then? Was going to buy God of War and Horizon but they’re way cheaper on the American store.

You need a US PSN Account,

http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2018/08/ ... unt_on_ps4

Log out of your usual PSN account.
Hit 'New User' on the subsequent screen.
Hit 'Create a User'.
Hit 'New to PSN? Create an account'.
Hit 'Sign up now'.
Choose 'US' as your region.
Select English as your language.
Use a random Date of Birth, but it's best to make sure it's over 18-years-old.
Here's where it gets tricky. You'll have to use a genuine address, including postal/zip code, for that region to sign up for a US PSN account. We'd recommend using a hotel or restaurant or something and just find the address on Google Maps. You could try PlayStation's headquarters in San Mateo if you want to be sneaky.
It will now ask for an email address. Make sure this is a genuine email address that you own, and one that hasn't been tied to a PSN account before. You have to verify this email account.
Come up with a name for your new PSN account.
Accept the privacy settings and Terms of Service.
Set your PS4 as your primary PS4, which will allow you to play games from any region on your main PSN account.
Finally, verify your account.

When picking the location for the account, make sure to choose a state that doesn't charge digital sales tax

Buying games isn't a totally straightforward process since your credit card won't work,

Once you've created a US PSN account, you may want to purchase some games digitally from the American version of the PlayStation Store. The easiest way to do this is to purchase US PSN credit from a site like Play-Asia. Make sure that you purchase credit for the US territory, otherwise it won't work. Depending on where you shop, the code will be emailed to you within minutes of you completing the transaction.

All you need to do from there is login to your US PSN account and load the PlayStation Store. Click on the 'Redeem Codes' tab towards the bottom of the main menu, and you'll be prompted for your 12-digit code. Enter it, and the money will be added to your account's wallet which can then be spent on digital products.

I'd love to have a crack at VR.

Some great deals at Argos, etc. at the moment.
Starter Pack + game (Astro Bot is a highlight) for £180 from Shopto
https://www.shopto.net/video-games/vrheadset/PS4AC338-sony-playstation-vr-psvr-v2-camera-vr-worlds-astro-bot

There were some cheaper (second-hand) deals from Amazon Warehouse (20% off everything atm), but most of the good deals have gone from there by now. There are still some in stock, but now about £160 or so which isn't as good as the offer above.

PlayStation VR Starter Pack Bundle + VR Worlds + Astro Bot + Gran Turismo + Firewall Zero Hour with Aim Controller £214.99 @ Costco

Can't see it going lower than the £170 it is with Astro Bot (which you need and is at least worth £20) it is at Currys/PC World...

Another sale on at PS Store. Funny that there isn't anything on the blog about it.

End up buying the R* collection of PS2 classics and the second Tomb Raider.

Medievil has been dropped to £1.69; Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver is 99p.

I used to LOVE that game, is that playable on PS4? I'd worry it won't have aged well, but for 99p it'd be worth a punt.

Sadly not compatible but it's playable on vita and ps3 if you have either.

One of my top 10 games of all time. It's a bit rough around the edges now but it's still got a great atmosphere. And dat voice acting

That's a shame, I got rid of my PS3 years ago.

Backwards compatibility is the one big area where Sony are lagging behind MS, such a shame as the PS3 (original fat version at least) was so good for it.

As per the bargains thread, I picked up Burnout Paradise Remastered in the flash sale for £9. My god, it's such a good game.

It felt like putting on an old leather glove you'd forgotten about. Familiar, yet so shiny. Handles and plays so well. If I spend a better £9 on a game this generation, I'd be amazed.

Broke my non-new game buying rule to take advantage of the PSN 75% flash sale. Downloaded Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2, both complete with all dlc etc. £11.99. Too good to resist.

11.99 each? Or together?

It'll be together. The double pack is on sale for that price quite frequently - I bought it back in June for £12 as well. Good value though.

Battlefield 1 was much maligned but I think it's a fantastic multiplayer and I think you'll love it.

I know we're quite often collectively guilty of wishing there'd be new consoles and hardware, because they're exciting, but you can't beat the point in a console's life when AAA games are being sold for few quid. It's mint.

In two years' time, when we're being expected to pay £60 for launch-day 'next'gen' rehashes of current gen games, we should remember these times.
