I have never run so badly in my whole life. It feels like an age since I last cashed, never mind won. I'm getting very very frustrated at it, it seems like its never going to end. Some of my best mates keep commenting at how much they think my game has moved on, but I'm getting absolutely no reward for it. Its totally in my head at this point and although I keep doing the right things, making the right moves they just aren't getting rewarded. If they do get rewarded I go utterly card dead for seemingly days and get destroyed that way before getting it in in a flip or better and losing.

I'm fairly sure no-one in this thread has gone through quite the cold decks that Ive been going through for this long, I just want one result to prove to myself it can still happen. :(

The fact in so many tournaments I'm hero folding Jacks to Queens and Aces all the sodding time and STILL find a way to get coolered later on shows what an utter gooseberry fool show it is at the moment.

Just take a break and come back when it feels like fun again.

Watched the latest WSOP eps last night, lack of focus on Kassouf but presumably that’s to develop the other players before we focus again on him and whatever it is that happened on Day 7.

N9 spoiler
That AK > AA for Vayo AIPF… what a time to run that good. To think that hand is going to be the catalyst that propels him to 50m chips…

WSOP Ep11 & 12:
I've started to like Kassouf so I hope he makes final nine. From the way those episodes were edited he didn't do anything wrong. They even showed him folding quite quickly for most of ep11, and when he took time he did actually have something to think about.

Maybe the hands didn't get shown would paint a different picture, but it looked like he was well within the rules. It worked for him too as he started day 7 near the bottom and is now 2nd.

I have to agree. It is annoying when players take a long time with seemingly every decision but they're within their rights.

Also that "one player per hand" rule - what does that even mean? It doesn't even make sense.

Had to lol when Kassouf was getting the better of Jack Effel and then Effel basically said "I am telling you to be quiet or else"... I am all for upholding rules but in this instance the WSOP are bending their own rules to satisfy the mob at the table. Just because one player is annoying the rest of the table you can't make up rules on the spot to try and placate them.

Serves them right for their ridiculously restrictive rules on talking during hands.

The episode makes a complete mockery of the rules surrounding the WSOP, its actually quite brilliant. Speech play HAS to be part of the game, otherwise we may as well all play online. If the current clock system isn't working, have a shot clock. Kassouf does nothing wrong and I've played multiple players like him.

After having watched the last 2 episodes of the WSOP I'm not sure I'm going to bother with the FT.

Don't like the way that Vayo, Josephy and Benger treated Kassouf. Banger simply doesn't understand English because what he says doesn't make any sense:

"Check your privilege" er what?
"Verbal abuse" so talking to someone regularly is now verbal abuse. Good one.
"My life is fine" and Kassouf's isn't...?

And to cap it off (although it wasn't shown) the "go back to England" remark. Typically though the WSOP didn't show Jack Effel doing anything about it.

A big lack of class all around.

I cheered Niwinski's elimination after they showed him refusing to shake hands.

Vayo just seemed to be revelling in it. Like really? And also making up stories about Kassouf making some little old lady cry?!

I think I might end up cheering for the guy with the strange animal hat.

Yeah the Kassouf stuff really ground on me. I agree with your sentiments completely. As soon as "CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE" came out I just lost all interest with the game. You could see how gutted Kassouf was when the fish and chips brit shoved A9 into AA. He's obviously a nice enough guy.

His long decisions on every single street in every hand are very frustrating and would annoy me to be on the same table (I remember Vanessa Selbst hating his guts at I think it was EPT Dublin?) but he was not breaking any rules. Bengeris the one who broke the rules. If he thinks that's verbal abuse... for goodness sake - on Sunday, a 70 year old man said to me "I'm going to punch you in the face you strawberry floating wanker" across the poker table. THAT is verbal abuse

Anyway - I seem to be playing and running really well at the moment. Have made £60 on sky and £70 live in the past week. By "running well", I mean I'm tending to get my chips in good and haven't been donked... I did crack AA with KQ all in pre- yesterday though :shifty: - I've very much got my table mojo back over the past 6 weeks. My last four results in our 14 handed league on a Sunday have been 1, 1, 2, 1. Long may this continue.

The incident wasn't quite as ridiculous as I was expecting it to be, but jesus christ what an entitled wanker Benger is. I mean seriously, to say 'I'm happy, hes sad'...err...I don't think he is mate, hes just made the final two tables of the Main Event! I find it hilarious they can't take the table talk, they should all head back online.

On my last day in Vegas played at the Mirage cash and hit a high hand.

Turns out if you hit certain hands you get a bonus !

I rivered quad 6's and the guy folded my all in bet as the pot was about 200$ and I showed which was lucky as for a high hand you get $100.

Bizarrely the FT isn't starting until 8:30pm Vegas time which means 4:30am here.

Woke up at 4 (due to our pup) and watched the last 2 hours of Day 1.

Saw Wong, Banger and Hallaert hit the rail. Didn't really seem like either Wong or Banger could have done differently and happy to see them go.

Hallaert I felt just got a bit overzealous with his AQ. He had been lingering around 20-25 bigs for a while and eventually worked his way up to 35. Qui Nguyen had been playing quite a few hands but he's run well and a high percentage of them have been premium. Hallaert's rail should have informed him of this if they hadn't already.

I think with 35 bigs he had enough space to get away from it. If he flats he can lead out with his top top and reassess once Nguyen likely comes over the top. Realistically at that point he doesn't beat any hand except a bluff and maybe KQ. If Hallaert instead 4bets pre he can still fold to the 5bet. In both situations he would still have 20bigs.

Obviously this only applies here as it's cards up, it would be a little harsh to critique this hand without that knowledge.

Be interested to see what you guys think of that hand.

I played again last night and honestly I had a great time, and it was hilarious. I don't think I've ever played better poker but WOW do the cards hate me right now!

It was a game with two rebuys.

I took my first rebuy after my first hand and ground up my stack.

Then, got A-Q on the button and three bet a bettor a raiser and a caller. Lady behind me four bets all in, one guy folds, the other two both call and I opt to call.

A-Q vs 6-6 (the lady has me covered) and two short stacks with A-8 and K-J. Everything misses and I lose my first two buy ins, when I could have basically quadrupled up and been massive chip leader of the tournament.

Then I get my third rebuy, grind that up to three times my stack.

Get A-8s. Call a raise and an old guy calls behind me. Flop 2-5-8. Old guy bets, young guys calls, and I move all in over the top. Old guy insta calls (hes gooseberry fool), young guy tanks. I assure him I dont want to go three way and I have the best hand. Naturally because I'm awesome he folds tens. Old guy has called his whole stack in with A-3. River is a 4! This obviously was also for the chiplead.

So I grind back up again. Two short stacks move all in. I isolate them with A-K. I'm up against Q-J and 10-8. Jack on the flop, King on the turn, Jack on the river. Back down to half my stack. Again, would have brought me to top of the table stackwise.

Eventually I move all in for 15BBs with K-Q. Get an insta call from.....7-8s. Flop brings a straight draw, turn brings a flush draw as well, and the seven comes on the river. GG guys!

Im absolutely convinced I'm going to run hot at APAT. Its all been building up to that. I literally can't play any better than this.

Hallaert hand -

Having now seen the Hallaert hand I think its really tough for him. Firstly, we're talking about a 6-handed table here, A-Q may as well be A-K in that spot. And its against the most active and reckless player at the table. And you have an Ace covered as well. Its just a 4-bet shove that didn't pay off, but I don't hate it.

That's pretty horrendous DML :fp:  - You have to laugh or you cry...

I won a 138 man deep stack on Sky the other night which was nice. Played another shortly after - dealt AKdd, I 3-bet and get two callers. Flop comes K43 with 2 diamonds. I C-bet flop and get raised twice (the second one being a big shove). I 5-bet shove and get called off by KQss - with the all-in player with 1010 (?!). Naturally, the turn came an off suit Q :fp:
