My top ideologies are apparently,
Free-market environmentalism 62%
Bernsteinism 62%
Social democracy 100%
Third Way 88%

My worst are,
Mutualism -50%
Odalism -42%
Strasserism -67%

Honestly, no idea what most of that means.

Not really, I just wanted to see how easy it was to get their algorithm to produce a result of 50 on almost everything, because these things always lack any nuance, swinging wildly on the basis of one question.

It doesn't help that there are 60 orientations but only 38 questions.

I got Free market environmentalism as my top one, followed by paleo-conservativism and Pancasila. My worst matches were Queer anarchism and Anarcha-feminism.

Some of these questions are really badly worded;

You don't ask agree/disagree on not doing something as is potentially confusing: "Society should not seek to impose any specific code of conduct on the individual" i had to really think about whether i was answering in a compound negative or not.

"I should be proud of my culture and support those of my culture over those who are not" this is two agree/disagree points in one question, what if you agree you should be proud of your culture but not that you should support people of the same over those who aren't?

Well, it's just for fun. I agree, you'd need 10x the questions or more to really get into the nuances of all 60 ideologies. All I'd say is its broad left vs. right, anarchist vs. statist prediction will probably be accurate enough, so therefore if you engage with it as best you can then you might get a good book recommendation at the end.

I'm going to check out Anarcho-Syndicalism: Theory and Practice and The Voltairine de Cleyre Reader from its reading list for sure.

Top:

Classical Marxism 88%
Anarcha-feminism 88%
Guild socialism 88%
Fourierism 88%
Marxist feminism 88%

Worst:

Bleeding-heart libertarianism -38%
Fusionism -36%
Paleoconservatism -80%

That bunching of 88% scores suggests to me this quiz isn't as in-depth and nuanced as it needs to be to accurately differentiate between all the ideologies it scores on. That said, interesting nonetheless.

Plenty of questions I could pull up for how I was unsure of my interpretation, but to give one example:

Change should be achieved through the apparatus of the system

I slightly agreed in the end, because strictly I agree completely - change should be achieved through the system, because the system should be constructed in such a way as to be completely representative and accountable - however I also acknowledge that in systems where attempts at change are oppressed, working outside the confines of the system is then justified. I don't feel like even in the more in-depth pros/cons breakdown that nuance was addressed.

One of my favourite quotes comes from Voltairine de Cleyre:

Anarchism says, Make no laws whatever concerning speech, and speech will be free; so soon as you make a declaration on paper that speech shall be free, you will have a hundred lawyers proving that "freedom does not mean abuse, nor liberty license"; and they will define and define freedom out of existence.

I find it interesting because it's really hard for me to disagree in principal, but I can't quite marry it up against what I think are useful laws against hate speech, libel, or incitement to violence.

Feels like a pretty terrible test tbh. Questions are poorly worded and it doesn't feel like enough questions for the granuality of results. (It's probably amazing and built by someone cleverer than I)

A fun but pretty flawed quiz, some of the questions could have been far better structured or benefited from being split out into multiple questions as the answer to one part was dependant on the interpretation of another.

Top:
Classical Marxism 75%
Anarcha-feminism 75%
Luxemburgism 75%
Marxism-Leninism 75%
Marxist feminism 75%
Fourierism 88%
Deep ecology 100% (Oh no, I'm a tree-hugging hippy aren't I?! )

Worst:
Fascism -30%
Fusionism -21%
Paleoconservatism -40%

EDIT: Also careful clicking on the "More Information" links - just went to the one on Fusionism and a full page ad for something with a fully nude woman came up!

(the ad wasn't the only thing that came up if you know what I mean...)

Not entirely convinced by this test, some of the questions seem very loaded and skew the answers. The questions on capitalism, communism and feminism were too extreme and weren't expanded on, which heavily skews your results.

I came out as anarcho-capitalist 80% which I don't agree with as although I am no fan of the nation state, I think it would be a disaster without some control of markets. But that control should be only minimal and what is necessary. Would agree with the aspects of self determination though.

Individualist feminist 62% - tend to agree with that to be fair.

72% Nordic model, again I agree with that.

61% third way. Totally disagree with that. I find third way to be an unnecessary watering down of principle from both sides of the coin simply to gain power.
