+1 to that. I found the last one I played to be strawberry floating nails  but I still enjoyed it. Couldn't care less for Ark; I won't even redeem it.

Team Sonic Racing isn't as good as the last Sonic racing game, but it would be a decent addition

How many have there been? I played one on…the 360 (?) and it was hard as nails. Bah, those sorts of games are for Nintendo fans/children.

Depends on what you count I guess, there have been quite a few spin-off Sonic games that have focused on racing:

1994 - Sonic Drift
1995 - Sonic Drift 2
1997 - Sonic R
2006 - Sonic Riders
2008 - Sonic Riders Zero Gravity
2010 - Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing
2012 - Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed
2019 - Team Sonic Racing

They've been mixed in terms of quality but 2012's Racing Transformed was genuinely fantastic.

I remember asking for one of those for my Game Gear for Christmas one year but never got it :x Probably why I’m so bitter still.

Yeah the Sonic Drift games were on the Game Gear - I was likewise desperate for them at the time but that desire remained unfulfilled!

Having played them since I realise I didn't miss much!

I was browsing the store yesterday and stopped at Team Sonic Racing thinking I would love to play it (I used to love Sonic R on the Saturn) but not enough to actually buy it. So that would be a great PS+ game for me.

If Ark is the survival game then I played it on PC a few years ago and I'm less interested in that. Playing Subnautica at the moment (got it when it was free a while ago but never started it) which is much better.

According to: https://www.dealabs.com/bons-plans/ps-g ... s5-2317315

Ghost of Tsushima Legends Edition (PS4 & PS5):

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a co-op and online multiplayer experience* inspired by Japanese mythology. Choose one of the four classes offered (samurai, hunter, ronin, or assassin) and play with your friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player missions based on history, in four-player survival missions or in the new Rivals mode.

If you already have another version of Ghost of Tsushima, Legends content and updates are available for free via the "Enter Legends mode" option in the main menu. It is not necessary to buy Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT.

Players on PS4 and PS5 can play together. Legends mode progress will be kept, whether you are on PS4 or PS5.

This independent version of Legends mode for PS4 and PS5 includes the online multiplayer mode of Ghost of Tsushima, but not the single player campaign.

If you have the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends independent version on PS4 or PS5, you can upgrade to Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT for 50.00 EUR on PS4 or 60.00 EUR on PS5.

Ghostrunner:

Ghostrunner is a hardcore slasher filled with ultra-fast action, located in a sinister and cyberpunk megastructure. Climb the Dharma Tower, humanity's last refuge, after a global cataclysm. Start from below to go upstairs, face the tyrannical Key Master and take revenge.

The streets of this city of towers are full of violence. Mara the Master of Keys reigns with an iron fist and little respect for human life.

As resources diminish, the strong prey of the weak and chaos threatens to consume the little order that remains. The last decisive position comes. A final attempt to settle things before humanity is on the verge of extinction.

As the most advanced blade fighter ever created, you are always surpassed in number but never in class. Slice your enemies with a monomolecular katana, dodge bullets with your superhuman reflexes and use a variety of specialized techniques to prevail.

The one-shot elimination mechanism makes the fight fast and intense. Use your higher mobility (and frequent checkpoints!) To engage without fear in an endless dance with death.

Ghostrunner offers a unique solo experience: violent and fast fights, and an original setting combining science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes. It tells the story of an already over world and its inhabitants struggling to survive.

Team Sonic Racing (PS4):

Team Sonic Racing combines the best elements of arcade games with a hectic and competitive racing style. Compete with your friends in frantic multiplayer races, race in incredible universes and team up with your teammates by sharing improvements and acceleration bonuses. Take control of your racing style - Choose from 3 very different character types and unlock vehicle customization options to adapt to your racing style.

On your marks. Ready. Go! - Race as a team at supersonic speed!

Another dodgy demo edition... :fp:

It is really rubbish they're only giving away the online Legends mode for Ghost of Tsushima, but don't let that put you off trying it as it is a great little mode.

Confirmed:

GTA Online (PS5) - Brucie Bonus available from 15th March, 2022
Ghostrunner (PS5)
Ghost of Tsushima Legends Edition (PS5, PS4)
Ark: Survival Evolved (PS4)
Team Sonic Racing (PS4)

Nothing really there I’m overly interested in, though I’ll download Ghostrunner and Sonic so I can play them in 2026.

Is this one the Sega racer that people pretend is better than Mario Kart 8 or is that another one?

Racing Transformed is better than MK 8 easily.

For the mere fact that weapon use is actually strategic rather than a come back mechanic.

Yeah Transformed is the one that's the best kart racer ever made

I didn't get Team Sonic Racing after the reviews confirmed it wasn't All-Stars Racing 3 and wasn't as good as Transformed. I tried it once and yeah it's ok.

PS+ now just giving away demos is a joke anyway. I'd be much happier with them if they just called them what they are.

Legends has nothing to do with the GoT campaign, and it's the full version of the MP experience, so it's not a demo in any sense of the word. Also, it's one of 4 games, a bonus inclusion, so even on that front it's not as though we're getting jipped out of a game.

Sigh. Grubb saying "classic games" will be a big part of PS GamePass/Spartacus.

Slay the Spire is amazing if you've not played it.

Slay the Spire is amazing. I have pretty much completed it on Game Pass, and it is a beter fit on Switch than Playstation or Xbox, but if you have not tried them in either of those places already then this is an excellent (potential) addition.
