With the current PS4 backlog that I've built up since launch there's not too much value for me personally to go for a tier beyond Essential. At £10.99 a month, Extra is the same cost as Netflix and I think I'd rather choose Netflix.
PS4 games are a welcome boost I hadn't considered. A few open world rpgs or platformers will keep my girlfriend entertained, which will free up some PS5 time for me.

I kinda had the same feeling. The list has a…sort of familiar whiff about it. Like old socks.
Might buy into it just to give GoT a play, feels like there will probably be enough other stuff in there to make it worth at least trying out for a while.
Key think for me is how long exclusives take to appear on here, if they get them across a year after launch then that might be good enough for me personally, I've no interest in keeping up with day 1 £70 games and have been happily waiting for them to reduce in price - if they end up on this new Plus within a good time frame then that's a win
PlayStation Plus launches in Asia, though fans say its catalogue has far fewer games than expected
Even with lack of PS3 streaming.
Sony's revamped PlayStation Plus subscription has now begun rolling out worldwide, and is available first in Asia from today.
The launch gives us our first proper look at the service's full catalogue of games - although fans say it contains far fewer titles in its catalogue than previously expected.
Indeed, a guide to PlayStation Plus published yesterday on the PlayStation blog mentions "700" games available across the subscription's various plans - a rough figure we've heard from Sony before - albeit with the caveat that these games will vary "over time and plan".
However, the list of games provided by PlayStation for Asia in the Hong Kong region currently run to 269 titles, far fewer than the 700 estimate.
There's one major caveat here - this region does not have PS3 streaming games available (indeed, the higher-tier price is named "Deluxe" rather than Premium to denote this). However, there's no expectation of anywhere near 500 PS3 games being available elsewhere to make up the difference.
One smaller caveat: below we've lumped PS4 and PS5 versions of the same game together whereas Sony lists them out separately, though this only affects a handful of titles. Additionally it's worth noting that both our lists below and Sony's own classify a trilogy pack (such as the BioShock Collection) as one title.
Is Sony now worse than early-PS3 era Sony? What on earth happened to PS4-era Sony? It seems to be putting it's foot in it all the time right now .
To be honest, though, it won't care what we think; it has close to 100m people paying out for PlayStation Plus and that income will undoubtedly increase as these higher tiers launch.
Does anyone know if the features they are adding to the PS1 games are actual updates to the roms or are they features of PSplus? I wonder if they are rom updates will they rollback so the features like rewind etc… can be used when you play them on a PSvita.
The game also runs at NTSC 60Hz, so another improvement for us in the UK over the PS1 copy.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear as if this version is currently available to purchase separately, nor does the PS3/Vita copy unlock the game on PS4/5. No trophy support from Namco either.
Some of the other PS1 Classics however are PAL 50Hz. Now you might be thinking 'well who cares, that's how we've always experienced them over here anyway!', but because we're no longer using 50Hz hardware to play them, these titles will still be outputting at 60Hz on a PS4/5, which can cause rather noticeable judder depending on the game. In many ways it's going to be the PlayStation Classic situation all over again. While the letterboxing of the PAL originals was eliminated, all the PAL games ran worse than they did on the original PAL PlayStation.
Mixed bag rather than definitive. Looks like some games will be better than the original, some games will be better in some specific areas (graphics, trophy support, rewind/save features) and worse in others (gameplay) and some will just be inferior.
