Yes, but even so, this effectively removes the discount you purchased in good faith, seems open to serious legal challenge, if you ask me (not a solicitor).

I'm not sure there's much grounds for legal issues. What you bought was a PS+ sub. Sony will probably take the approach of "well just don't upgrade and you'll continue to get what you paid for".

It's, such a bad look and will cost Sony, surely they'd get a lot more subs if they did something a little more consumer friendly..?

I honestly plan on using my PS5 almost exclusively for first party titles and very little else at this point. The Xbox ecosystem is so much more appealing to me at this point that, when looking in the sales earlier for Jackbox 3, I could see it on sale on the PSN but not the Xbox store. So I decided to wait for an Xbox sale on it because knowing Sony they will end up putting streaming behind a paywall next (if it isn't already).

The only "positive" to come from it is that at least everyone is suitably annoyed by it, rather than half of us being corporate apologists. We save that exclusively for Nintendo as far as I can tell.

They have been, but not since old Jimmy took the reigns. Though he has given into back lash, so let's hope there's a lot of it. Obviously, there are much worse things going on at the moment in terns of cost of living, this is just a stinky turd on top.

Looks like Dino Crisis 1/2 are on the way at some point as Sony are using it to advertise the Classic Catalogue despite the games not being available yet:

Neither game were previously made available to purchase in the UK on PS3/Vita/PSP, oddly.

3 was abysmal on Xbox, but I'm surprised Capcom has never revisited the series, either for a new game or a remake.

They have said they plan to revisit older IP so maybe DC will be one of them, they could some really cool things with the new consoles to make a modern Dino-horror title.

Reddit posts saying the upgrade cost has been lowered/fixed: https://www.reddit.com/r/PlayStationPlu ... _pricings/ But much like taking the lead in a match only to end up snatching a draw from the jaws of victory, this still feels like a huge L for them.

EDIT: Confirmed.

The right move in rolling back on the upgrade costs.

I wonder what the next issue will be? Japan next week, which will give some insight on the PS3 games available for the service. I'm not that interested personally, though I guess it would be fun to test streaming out briefly before moving on to a newer game!

The silly neighbourhood vegetable.

I think it was my threats of legal challenges, I have been watching Better Call Saul after all.

This is good news though. What on earth is going on at Sony, are departments communicating? I would have thought PR would have been dead against this bullshit.

At least they uturn a bit quicker than the Tory party, but it's strawberry floating frustrating.

This vid delivers a good overview of how retro games run and the display options.
