The Pugsley Crew Views is an audio show that does commentary for films. There;'s some interesting facts, and laughs to be had with it. Hopefully. The Crew consists of Me, Jazzem, The Watching Artist (Matt) and Earfolds. Hopefully, you'll give it a listen and enjoy it. If you do decide on listening to it, make sure you have the film at had as we talk about the film as it plays out. I suppose you could call it a Mystery Science Theatre like podcast by plebs.

Anyway, you can either listen to it via youtube or the try the RSS FEED and have it in any podcast program you use.

The first few films we are watching a game related and the very first one is Street Fighter,

It’s a good idea but is always going to be niche as listeners will have to obtain a copy of the movie before listening.

I am not sure I can bring myself to watch Street Fighter again ( :dread: ) but I’ll keep an eye out for when you do a movie I like/own.

This has actually been pretty great fun on my part. I've been re-watching movies that I would never have touched again without having other guys to take the piss out of them with me.

The YouTube version kinda futzed with our intro, so you can't hear anyone but Pedz for the first 30 seconds, but it's intact on our Podcast format. If you're listening along on YouTube, bear with the intro and it works for the rest of the episode.

You'll probably want a copy of the film to watch along with our commentary, but we give a count down right before the start of the movie (the Columbia-Tristar logo). Obviously we couldn't just upload the film with our commentary to YouTube or iTunes. Anyone who has listened to RiffTrax should be familiar with how that works though, perhaps?

Yeah, we all knew it will be a very niche thing to do, but it's something we all thought we'd enjoy doing even if it gets little attention. The main thing is having fun doing it.

Thanks for the reply Moggy.

We know what the next 4 episodes will be and they'll be out 1 each week and then we'll be doing them less regularly. We wanted to start with a few game Movies over a shorter time period to see where to go from there.

Oh yeah it’s all about the fun you have doing it. The MST3K idea is great, it’s just a faff for lazy bastards like myself. ;)

I’ll definitely check it out when/if you do a movie I like though.

I would like to apologise for my part in this. I was tired. I got from home work about midnight and was then forced to watch the "film" until the early hours.

Next time I promise to call Pedz a banana split more often.

For what it's worth Moggy, I've found from experience that these types of commentaries can work surprisingly well as podcasts without the film. Am trying to keep in mind some people may listen to it that way so we'll try and describe what's happening on screen within reason. Also a lot of the conversation that spawns you certainly don't need the visual aid for.

I would at least recommend finding stills of Bison from the film when we laugh at his goofy expressions though :D

I'd also like to apologise for the mistake regarding "cold blooded murderer Ken" you rightly corrected me on <_<

One thing I mentioned in the episode was that Yoshinori Ono, the producer of Street Fighter IV, did a remake of one of the scenes from this movie. I'll go ahead and post it here.

I find it endearing.

I said Charles Dickens at one point and no one got it. So I'll just leave this here.

PostRe: The Pugsley Crew Views - A Movie Commentary Show - Episode 2 OUT NOW!
by Pedz » Sun Apr 15, 2018 12:06 pm

Well, it's time for the 2nd episode of the most popular show on the internet The Pugsley Crew Views.

This episode is another game to Movie adaption (I'll be honest, the next few are) Mortal Kombat, I actually prefer this to Street Fighter, but it is clearly in need of being an 18, not being a PG-13, or what ever it's called over here. Anyway, this weel has Mw, Jazzem and Earfolds on it, Matt is sadly absent this week due to work.

Check it out guys, it's fun.

I enjoyed watching Mortal Kombat at the time, but the rewatch with Jazzem and Pedz did make me realise that maybe it wasn't as good a movie as I remembered. I definitely enjoyed Raiden sucking the bad CGI into his eyes. On multiple occasions!

God no.

Mortal Kombat was a decent film, sort of. Street Fighter was a travesty.

Oh MK displayed a level of competence that SF never had. But I just never got the point of the MK story. Here is a tournament of people fighting in which quite frankly nothing like an actual tournament takes place. As bad as SF was it had a villain with a clear motivation that felt like it belonged in a world. It was gooseberry fool but it had a plot. Which I don't think MK had at all.

Spoilers for the episode but they shoe-horned in a plot at the end when Shang Tsung captured Sonya, and Johnny Cage and Liu Kang rescued her. Probably the worst part of the movie, though.

Yeah I watched it last night. It seemed pointless to me.

Was still enjoyable to hear you guys experience it though.

I do agree that it was completely pointless.
