They'll be in a world of pain (au choclat)!

They should have made sure to d-eclair all of their financials properly!

If they did "worst business" awards these guys would be a choux in!

Are these bad enough yet? :P

Just noticed HMV's online store is back up and running again (albiet only for pre-orders at the moment).

Their online store was always brilliant, so i'm pleased to see it make a comeback (what was purehmv has also promised to transfer everyone's points across to their new rewards scheme too).

BBC News wrote:William Hill plans to close about 700 betting shops across the UK, putting 4,500 jobs at risk.

And nothing of value was lost. Apart from the thousands of jobs, obviously.

I'm sure all those workers can be seamlessly move into all of the vape shops that will replace the bookies.

The betting shops are closing now too? The end is nigh.

Surprised betting shops have lasted this long, surely everyone just does it on their phone like Ray Winston tells them to these days?

You never really see people going into those places.

The betting shops were still relatively popular; mostly through locals, but the recent government decision to limit machines to £2 bets max has started the death knell for them...

I've seen people stood outside them waiting for opening time... Coral/Ladbrokes and the rest will follow soon enough...

I went into one with a friend from work once on our lunch break so he could have a go on the roulette machine (looking back now he was probably a gambling addict) and it was a depressing place. Stank like piss, was mostly empty aside from some desperate looking regulars. One guy was feeding £10 notes into some machine, must have easily got through £200 worth before we'd left. Terrible places.

There's one in the Trafford Centre, and I think one in Manchester Arndale.

It's no wonder they went bust, the cheeky bastards charge £7 for a strawberry floating potato and a drink.

I always thought it was a joke brand that had been made up for referencing on TV shows!
