It's so odd that the advert even exists - the best way to make people think your employee working conditions are suspect is to release an advert stating how brilliant they are It's not even like they're advertising Amazon as a service, it's just "we employ people and they're all happy, don't believe us COME ON THEN"

It has the complete opposite affect. It makes you think how bad things must be for them to force employees to participate in a campaign to say how happy they are

All the reports today of flat Xmas sales etc worst Christmas in 25yrs but the report fails to look at online sales. Amazon for example don't report their sales. They are clearly our biggest Christmas retailer now.

Yeah the vast majority of my Christmas spending went to online retailers, with Amazon (sadly) being the biggest winner. That said Christmas is also one of the few times when I do actually spend a decent amount of money in real world shops.

It still seems just as busy as ever when you go into town during the Christmas season so there must be a hell of a lot of people just traipsing around for the "fun" and not actually spending any money!

Yeah I imagine there is a lot of that. strawberry floating horrible way to spend your time though!

I actually feel bad when I'm in a bricks and mortar shop and I get my phone out for whatever reason - staff must just assume anyone doing that is checking the prices against an online retailer.

The high street is now only for bookies, kebab takeaways, vape shops, Poundland and Greggs.
