Obviously I'd be losing GRcade points if I didn't clarify that any local gooseberry fool hole Bob's Pizza of Nowhere is a hundred times better, because no one's heard of it, so err yeah, there you go, but that aside it is a shame, particularly for the newly-unemployed people.

I know you're just being arsey, but do you live in a large city? I very rarely go to any of these chain places when I'm in the city centre because all the indie places are genuinely better.

When I'm in Liverpool city centre and I want a pizza, I go to Rudy's:

The most expensive pizza on the menu is less than £9. Their flour and tomatoes are shipped in from Italy, as is their oven.

Why on earth would I go to Pizza Express over Rudy's? Except it isn't just Rudy's. Every metropolis will have its own equivalent turning out better food than the chain equivalent for less money.

The cheese :(

Three sites? This indie restaurant is verging dangerously close to chain business. :capnscotty:

Gareth Southgate wouldn't eat that artisan gooseberry fool. He'd have a grand pan margherita. Because he's a legend.

i get my Nonnos from the other of the 3 - theyre very nice!

I still can’t believe what they did was legal. 1p per £1 to people like landlords and such in debt owed. It’s madness.

The same company owns them

Presumably it's 1p in the £1 or nothing.

I always thought for maximum GRcade points you had to mention you ordered a Papa John's last weekend.

I can go even better than that:

I've eaten out in restaurants/bars four times since lockdown eased. Two independents, two chains.

The best experience was... BrewDog 8-) GRcade's bogeyman of the moment. Temple of Seitan burger with cauliflower wings on the side and a few pints of ale to wash it down.

I love BrewDog :slol:

Brewdog has a mandatory beard policy.

I quite like brewdog as well, the buffalo wings are great with some beer. Though I think each branch has its own menu, when I visited the Glasgow one the menu was totally different to Liverpool and Manchester.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I don't get the hate for Brew dog their beer is better than the average and their bar normally have better indie stuff. Never eaten they're food but it seems alright.

The problem isn't with Brewdog, it's with their shitty marketing practices. The pubs are actually really good! :shifty:

I drink in the one in Glasgow's Merchant City from time to time before or after Celtic games.

That's not true. You can get away with just a perfectly sculpted moustache.

I think it's called "punk" something or other.

Their use of the word punk is central to their annoyance.

Brew Dog are about as punk as Cliff Richard
