In the interview, the Harmonix guy said that all DLC will work on Rock Band 3. Extrapolating from that, it won't work on any of the other games.

From what I could understand is the Rock Band Blitz DLC will effectively be like the older legacy DLC (RB1, RB2, L:RB, GD:RB) which also works in RB3.

We should get some clarification during the week as Harmonix are putting on a Live stream at their offices later today and they usually answer question there.

Rock Band Aide is also compiling a list of questions at some point to take with them to the PAX panel on Saturday.

I love Rock Band Unplugged, so this really interests me, especially as I'll have a large bank of songs from the get-go. I have concerns over the note-charts being good though, as I doubt they're going to rechart 1000s of DLC to be optimised...and I really hope the game has more than just a 2 button mode, as I'm used to 8 button level 15 songs in DJMAX. #WatchOutWe'veGotABadassOverHere

Interested. Like the fact that it'll work with all the old tunes, I just hope that doesn't mean it'll be an entire game of filler tracks...

Rock Band Blitz Full Song Playthrough Video

More Rock Band Blitz Details, Including FREE Export to Rock Band 3

Now that the initial deluge of information resulting from last night’s X-Play announcement is over, a few new details on Rock Band Blitz are starting to come out as other outlets are getting their hands on time with Rock Band Blitz. (We’ll be taking it for a spin tomorrow, and give our impressions shortly thereafter.)

On the official announcement listed on RockBand.com, @SteveMightSay was quick to point out to me that the part that said “all of the tracks that come with Rock Band Blitz are immediately playable in Rock Band 3 at no extra charge…” While we still don’t have pricing details, XBLA pricing tops out at $19.99, so even if the title is priced at the maximum level allowed, even if the gameplay does nothing for you, you’re looking at a 25-pack for Rock Band 3 for a substantial discount.

There’s one newer revision that we slipped into last night’s announcement, however. As was previously reported by @RockBand, it looks like Rock Band 3 tracks [The on disc songs!] will NOT be importable into Blitz. (Cue the outrage…) But let’s face it, after playing all those songs ad nauseum to get as many goals accomplished as possible, I’m looking forward to play the other 3,500+ songs in the library. The other “downer” that we learn is that the songs exporting from Blitz will only work in Rock Band 3, but this shouldn’t really surprise anyone at this point.

The game will be playable at PAX East this weekend at one of six consoles in the Harmonix booth, so if you’re making your way to PAX East, you’ll definitely want to try it out there!

It's a 2 button Bemani-style game. By your logic Rock Band Unplugged has a 6 button mode, or 7 if you include the button you need to deploy overdrive.

Just a quick note to say that after last months destruction of the ION Bass Pedal, we built ourselves a new one, a la Rock/Destroyer Pedal.

Main Difference? I can fix it myself without sending it back to the US, the pedals warranty is still valid as no structural changes were made and it cost less than half the price. It performed well in our foot mashing tests, we'll see how well it performs for others once TigaSefi gets his clompers on it.
