Hehe nice!! I didn't have any coins so i went on a spree with my DLC and did some work toward playing 50 songs in a genre (grunge as I have 53 songs mostly Pearl Jam/Nirvana) and now have 15k of coins. I will attempt it later. I reckon at the last checkpoint I should just concentrate using all the energy in a single lane.

EDIT: The keyboard really does strawberry float things up :x
On Just Breathe I managed to 5 star it with no power ups 8-)

Played the trial of Blitz last night and didn't really "get" it. But after a few songs, it clicked. Ended up buying it and then playing it til about 4 in the morning! It's so great!

That was pretty much my experience with it. Takes a good few goes to get into. Love it now, just wish I had more time play it. I'm terrible at it, but it's still good fun and gives me an excuse to listen to shameful pop music

Yeah, that's a point too. Some of the tracks I have via DLC (Lady Gaga, etc :shifty: ) just don't feel right when playing proper Rock Band with a guitar. So they're getting more use now because of Blitz.

Guys, I'm about to get 10000+ MS points on the cheap and they've mostly all been requisitioned for RB Blitz and DLC. What songs should I get? :shifty:

Get songs YOU like, not that we like. Playing songs you know and love is far better than playing songs just because they're interesting to play. Both together make it even better though.

On another note, made a video guide of sorts for Rock Band Blitz. Be interesting to get some feedback seeing as it's the first time I've done such a thing.

Dude I've got 600+ DLC songs and the ones I like don't pose me much difficulty, I want ones that people find challenging to sing.

So far I've got the Rush stuff I'm missing(2112) as must-buy and about 1000 points worth of singles.

EDIT: Thanny, what's the name of that website that you have all your DLC noted on?

Is there any way to make it so you can flip from drums to keyboard by pressing left rather than having to press right mess up your note streak? I remember you could do that in the PSP game. Also, what controls is everybody using? I tried bumpers for notes and triggers to switch, bumpers for notes and d-pad to switch but now I'm back to the default controls. Can't decide what I prefer.

The story has a recommend feature so check out some songs you really enjoy and see what's recommended. You probably have most of them already but there might be the odd one you missed or didn't realise was even out.

I picked up a song from Hot Hot Heat recently and I didn't even realise they were released  I think it came out in 2009 as DLC so I must have been ill that week and skipped it.

There really needs to be an official tool for keeping track of songs you and friends have :fp:

DLCQuickplay. There's not been a whole Hell of a lot of DLC that's interested me this year, but I've bought a few new tracks in the last few days. There was a Mastodon track put up on the RBN last year that I didn't know about, and Happy? is such a nice song to play, unlike anything else on Rock Band really. I'd like to see more Mudvayne.

Ben, get the new Children of Nova single, Moments of Clarity, from RBN!

Also, get the old Children of Nova tracks from RBN.

I've exported songs from Rock Band 1 & Lego Rock Band so I have more songs to play with in RB: Blitz (and Rock Band 3) too :D I've got two songs gold-starred, although they were on easiest songs :slol:

Still enjoying it

Oh man. Just dug out my Street Fighter TE stick, and with the Typewriter control method, it works perfectly. Stick changes the lanes, A for left note, B for right, and X on power ups. Changed the game for me entirely. Give it a whirl if you have a stick lying around, honestly.
