I doubt it'd snow in London to any meaningful level this soon. It's not normall until around February we get proper snow.

Did you miss last year?

2nd December 2010. Ballsed the trains up around here for a good few days.

But seriously, the bigger issue is that RCL as a collective are not based in Central London. We're beyond zone 6 out towards Gatwick Airport, so if the trains are buggered, then so are we. Right now we're really not expecting it to cause any problems, but to be forewarned is forearmed, etc.

FINALLY!!

DLC Week of 12/20 - Hendrix 7 Pack and 4 Pro Upgrades!
hmxhenry wrote:Named the greatest guitar player of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in its recent “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” feature, there are few unfamiliar with the legendary songwriter and performer Jimi Hendrix. The guitar virtuoso’s playing style redefined rock and roll, infusing his unparalleled technical ability with an extreme and experimental sound that wowed audiences, changing music history for decades to come. On December 20th, Harmonix is proud to be adding seven classic Hendrix tracks to the Rock Band Music Store.

1968’s Hendrix-produced Electric Ladyland album features some of the musician’s most popular and enduring songs. Three songs from this classic – “Long Hot Summer Night,” “Gypsy Eyes,” and “All Along the Watchtower” – kick off the pack. An incendiary live performance of “Voodoo Child (Slight Return),” recorded at the legendary Woodstock festival, is also included in the pack. The pack of seven tracks also includes “Dolly Dagger” “Freedom” and “Angel” from First Rays Of The New Rising Sun. These songs were originally recorded for 1971’s Rainbow Bridge and The Cry of Love albums.

Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades for two of the tracks, “All Along the Watchtower” and “Freedom,” will be available. Pro upgrades for previously available Hendrix songs, “Purple Haze” and “Little Wing,” will also be offered. A full list of the extensive catalog of Jimi Hendrix songs playable in Rock Band can be found here.

Available on Xbox 360, Wii™ and PlayStation®3 system (December 20th, 2011):

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Long Hot Summer Night O
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Gypsy Eyes
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – All Along the Watchtower X
Jimi Hendrix – Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Live)
Jimi Hendrix – Dolly Dagger
Jimi Hendrix – Freedom O X
Jimi Hendrix – Angel

Pro Guitar/Bass Upgrades for Legacy Songs

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Purple Haze
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Little Wing

(These tracks will be available in Europe on PlayStation®3 system December 21st)

The tracks will be available as “Experience Jimi Hendrix Pack 01,” with all songs available for purchase individually on Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™. Tracks marked with “O” feature support for keyboards; tracks marked with “X” will offer Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $0.99 per song.

Price:
$10.99 USD, £5.99 UK, €8.99 EU (880 Microsoft Points, 1100 Wii Points™) for the “Experience Jimi Hendrix 01” pack
$1.99 USD, £.99 UK, €1.49 EU (160 Microsoft Points) per song
$2.00 USD (200 Wii Points™) per song

No Pro Guitar.

The best Hendrix track, and there's no Pro Guitar.

Ahh. I guess because it's a live version.

How many Protar charts have you bought so far? I still haven't played more than a handful of the disc ones yet :fp:

All the songs that I like that have Pro Guitar I've bought.

So not that many. I've got the Rise Against ones, Dragonforce, The Darkness, and some others that I can't remember. Seems like all the DLC songs I'd want to learn they don't tab the Pro parts for.

Frank why are you bothered by pro guitar? It's not as if you can play it, you're terrible.

Never said I didn't like Hendrix, but all his songs sound the same. He's gooseberry fool to sing, so I won't spend the cash on this DLC.

He was awesome. "You going to rent man? Vat man?" "...Taxman?" "That's the one!"

Thanks for being there guys. A quieter night than November, but a good natured crowd, a couple of nice singalongs and we managed to raise close to £100 towards the hospice where our friend Joan spent her last few days. Next event will be on the 28th January, 6pm to 11pm. Poster coming as soon as I've worked out a design :shifty:

Nice job on the Who Medley at the end, too.

I don't think I had a voice left by that point. I was originally planning on leaving at 7pm

Rock Band Facebook App

RockBandAide wrote:Harmonix officially announced this morning in the latest podcast that a new Facebook app is now available for players and fans to search for available music on the Rock Band platform, and possibly more importantly, to request music that is not yet available! The app offers a more robust approach to requesting music than the traditional manner. Additional request functionality allows users to request specific artists, and allocate points to emphasize the significance of each request. The tool will also allow users to see what artists have been heavily requested in the given week, and which artists have been most requested since the creation of the app.

I wonder if I can get Siri to request Bruce Springsteen DLC.
