Iron Maiden Track Also Appearing in Rock Band Blitz

A few people from Harmonix had been teasing earlier this week that today’s Harmonix Podcast would be teasing something related to Rock Band Blitz, and after listening to the entire episode, towards the end they announce that one song from next week’s DLC artist Iron Maiden will also be appearing in the forthcoming Rock Band Blitz. When pressed further about what specific song might be appearing, Nick Chester commented that he couldn’t say, earning the wrath of many a child listening.

Wrathchild.

Blitz is a must buy for me now if I can transfer the songs to RB3.

it's a new Rock Band XBLA game.

And yeah, songs from Blitz will work in RB3. Songs off the RB3 disc won't work in Blitz, however.

I'm hearing that they do, Blitz was covered a few pages back. It looks a bit like Audiosurf to me.

Every single Rock Band song will work straight away for free in Rock Band Blitz EXCEPT for the RB3 disc songs (83 songs?) as we have no way of exporting them (lke RB1, RB2, LEGO...)

Rock Band Blitz tracklist (25 songs) will work in RB3 straight away for free also.

Rock Band: Blitz (5 of 25 songs confirmed)

  • Blink 182 – Always
  • Foster the People – Pumped Up Kicks
  • Quiet Riot – Metal Health (Bang Your Head)
  • Rick Springfield – Jessie's Girl
  • Iron Maiden - UNKNOWN SONG

Also "Great White – Once Bitten, Twice Shy" has been shown in video footage for promotion of RB:B, but hasn't actually been confirmed to make up the 25 songs (but it likely will be).

The game looks balls to me right now, although I'll withhold final judgement until I try the demo. It'll probably make a cheap trackpack if you like 10 of the 25 songs as I think the highest price right now for XBLA is 1600MS (unless Microsoft change pricing at E3). Harmonix have said it will provide great value for money for Rock Band users.

1600 for 25 songs is bloody good value. I haven't heard two of those and I like 3 of them(plus Wrathchild when confirmed) so they're already well on their way to a purchase from me.

I think 'Wrathchild' was just something Rock Band Aide added to their story, I'm not sure whether Harmonix actually made that comment. You can hear the announcement of Iron Maiden in RB:B on the podcast (http://www.rockband.com/blog/episode069) towards the end from the comments I've read online.

I think we can expect a fair size of the setlist to be comprised of recent and future DLC releases, so possibly artists like P!nk, Paramore, Train, Huey Lewis & the News, Hall & Oates, Eddie Money etc.

Most of Paramore's big songs seem to be out now so I'd expect if they're in it'll be one "for the fans," like Emergency or Hallelujah. I wouldn't mind more Train either.

I've been trying to think of a way to get us all into multiplayer games, hopefully this will work out. It will probably descend into a complete failure as usual though!

...Green Day (27/05/2012 - 19:00 BST)

On Sunday the 27th of May, GRcade will get together to cover songs by Green Day.

Do you own a few Green Day songs? Are you interested in joining in with a multiplayer session on Sunday? Shout out here and join the GRcade band. If we are over subscribed then extra bands can be formed.

Any skill level welcome.

It's not required to own all of the songs (see Tracklist below) but owning at least a few for this weeks theme will be great!

It's not a complete disaster then

I have about 16 weeks worth of bands lined up right now until we hit bands with less than 10 songs. I'll try and set up some weeks of specific genres to mix it up as well.

I'm working on getting some PS3 players here. I might make an S.O.S. on the official forums if anyone would like to back me up?

I think it's only you and Herbi who have the PS3 version (no Wii RB users as far as I know)

EDIT: made a post on the official forums. If we have any PS3 users here that are members there, then maybe you could help me out getting some interest. Don't spam it though as I don't particularly want to get banned :simper: ... http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=229559

I'm so in for Rush and Maiden that it hurts. Not got any Green Day stuff but I get paid on Friday so if I can find it on the cheap in town I might grab it and import the songs.

More like a simplified version of Frequency/Amplitude.
