I put in some scores last night but I could only get up to about 58% of the 60% required and it wasn't progressing anymore so I think that's where the "wall" was

This week is all about fast paced songs, so I’m wondering what the craic is there. Anything over 150bpm? Speed metal? Short songs?

So umm, Epic Games seems to have acquired Harmonix, for them to make music stuff for Fortnite. Confirmed that they will continue to not arse themselves with making more instruments. Great!

It’s probably a good thing. I can’t imagine Rock Band DLC can keep the whole company running for much longer.

Challenge this week is off to an ok start, would love to see a lot of spotlight scores so I can focus on XP. My Lazaretto isn’t going to cut it, neither will my (awful) Danger Zone bass, hard scores don’t go far at this business end. A surprising amount to choose from.

Sorry about that! My Microsoft basket has been bugged the past few weeks so I haven't been able to buy any of the new stuff until they fix it, which sucks as there has been banger after banger this season! That plus having peoples birthdays every weekend in December

Sorry to bump this from the dead, but for anyone who is still involved in the rivals challenges, this week's theme is rhythm action games through the ages, so all the relevant songs are on-disc songs from games across the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchise. Stellar was given a very welcome re-release as well. It made me weirdly emotional going through them all there.

I played a few weeks ago but I've been helping my gf out with her career mode so when we do play it's hit and miss if a Rival song comes up.

What week of the season are we on?

Week 7. We only need one promotion to get to diamond so it's a bit of a canter - there's no point in aiming higher until we can consistently get good scores for all the instruments.

Even I've been a bit patchy with vocals recently, I'm concentrating on new downloads and brutal mode, so my contributions are mostly coming whenever the challenge songs are ones I don't have.

The good thing about being a couple of leagues below where we should be is that I can get us three vocal spotlight scores that are unlikely to be seriously challenged without too much effort. Gonna spend a bit of time on brutal mode tonight - might even stream a bit of it for the lads.
