They should work, though :shifty: When you load the game up and get into the menu it should load in all the songs at the start of the session. Do they appear in the quickplay mode and then just jam up when the game tries to load them in, or is it only showing you the on-disx songs?

It does that thing where it says 'finding downloaded content' and then stops without loading anything. None of the songs are there in quickplay or any modes. Just checked and all songs are installed on my hard drive, so it must be just this broken-ass game.

I think there's a setting in the options to search the library again, but I don't know what it's called.

Have you got the profile signed in that downloaded all the songs? It's not like it's a stupid rights issue or anything, is it?

Yeah I've tried that a few times, same result. Definitely my profile signed in, never had this problem before.

I'm just annoyed because my kids wanted to play it today, and it's taken me ages to find all the bits in the loft. Apologies for being arsey.

Don't worry! I know all about being in the mood for Rock Band only to have the game strawberry float up somehow :slol:

That's weird! Maybe their servers are dead or something. I'll check mine when I get home and see if it does anything equally mental.

Hold on! It's found 107 songs. Which is something, I guess. :?

I think it's fixed, but just going a bit slowly and finding them one by one now. Looks like it might take some time to get everything set, so it's gonna be no Rock Band tonight.

I wouldn't mind, but the only songs the kids want to play are Weezer tracks.

Bit late to the party but it's actually the Xbox and how the file indexing works. I agree it's total gooseberry fool and I hope the new Xboxes don't have this problem as visibly now they have faster drives.

PostRe: The Rock Band Thread vol.2 | LAST CHANCE! Rock Band 3 Export will be delisted 01/12/2020 [PS4/X1/Rift]
by BID0 » Thu Sep 24, 2020 11:20 am

A heads up for anyone who hasn't got the Rock Band 3 disc tracks in future versions of Rock Band yet

5 Years since the export went up, it's going to be delisted

twitter.com/RockBand/status/1308498325730099201

You were meant to have played RB3 on your gamertag to be able to purchase the export (a check to prove that you own the game), but apparently on Xbox you can by it now regardless of if you have played it or not. I think on PlayStation this check is still part of the purchasing process

Here's the store link for Xbox: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/p/rock- ... 9gkpvvw5qw

And here are the 83 songs you get: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_s ... ck_listing

The end of an era. I suspect they'll be winding down their participation in DLC and things like that, which is a shame but probably time given some of the dross they've been putting out weekly for the last year or two.

BID0, is the Rivals group still going? I had to stop playing and focus on other things last year and got summarily booted out.

I think they plan to keep going. There are no plans for RB5 and they are looking in to RB4 instrument/game/DLC compatibility on the next gen consoles. Should have info soon!

Yeh Rivals is still going although I haven't played the game myself for 6-7 weeks. It's really hard now because all of the regular players are concentrated in fewer teams and as a result there are less teams playing so you have to grind even more than ever. We have about 2-3 regular players out of 5-6 on the team so there's space if you ever decide to play again! Just don't expect to get in the top league unless you play for hours every day

Drop me an invite! I'm happy to try and put in vocal scores each week at least.

Will do! I can't figure out how to do it on the app anymore so I'll send one when I'm next on the Xbox. Looks like there are 3 spaces total

To celebrate 5 years of Rock Band 4 Harmonix are giving 75% off on Xbox and PS4 for the RB4 and Rivals bundle, as well as the Rival expansion on its own.

I bought the Rock Band 4 and Rivals expansion for £12 even though I already had the rival expansion just so I don't need my RB4 disc any more. Not a bad price.

I think the Rivals expansion on its own is about £4-£5.

Are they doing any offers on the songs themselves? I wouldn't mind picking up some more DLC.

Definitely not a last gasp to get your money before migrating to a new console and losing your purchases.

Over the last year or so they seem to offer at least one song, if not both of the weekly songs with 25% off for the first two weeks they go on sale. And there's the usual Rivals pass to get all of the weekly songs as a bundle (although it doesn't usually end up any cheaper than buying the songs on the week with the 25% off, and you have the bonus of only buying the songs you want)

There's the RB3 export which is about £15 I think, that nets you about 83 songs. Probably the best value you will get money wise outside of the Rivals expansion.
