If it's not on Strava then we can't be sure it happened

For my only half marathon I forget to tie the chip on at the start.... That was devastating.

Hard work and lots of training, started off run walk run and just went from there I don't think there is a big secret to running and there are no shortcuts

Has anyone here entered the ballot for the London Marathon?

Just got the email but instead of telling you if you're in or not, you now have to enter a code on their website, which has crashed. :fp:

Website is working now and as expected I didn't get in. Think the chance is only about 3%.

I didn't enter, I cant stand the thought of training again only to not race due to Covid as my first marathon is not going to be a virtual one

Another no here, I think that’s my fourth unsuccessful ballot attempt. Oh well, of all the years to miss out, it’s not a crushing disappointment.

At this point though any organised run is bound to feel special whether that’s Parkrun or the London marathon.

I did my first marathon the other day virtually and by myself. Decided to do a charity push as motivation. Do it!
Looking at your times, you posted t'other day, you would absolutely nail it anyways. How have you not ran 26 miles yet when your setting 2.5 hours for 20 miles?

When you set off in complete darkness, and on your return route you see the sun is comin up

Can wait until morning runs are in daylight again.

I just haven't really.

I just have it in my head my first marathon will be special, the crowd cheering and I will feel like an Olympic champion.
I still remember my first H/M it was torrential rain, I was soaking head to toe and I felt like such a bad ass on the last 5K coming back into the city centre, I felt like such a champion. That's the feeling I want.

Saying that if this Covid stuff doesn't go away then I think my hand may be forced.
