Not far off what I would choose, but failure to pick Fletcher (steven) would be unwise.

Celtic is a Scottish football club, right? How come Irish people like them so much?

The history. The East of Glasgow was predominantly an extremely deprived part of the world with a huge Irish immigrant population from the emmigration after all the famines and what not. Celtic were started up by a priest (Brother Walfrid I think) as a community thing. Hence the Catholic/Irish history.

Then you get all the Scottish people thinking they are Irish and singing songs about British troops dieing, warped fans.

What you get is a strong fanbase in Ireland (shitloads of which go to home games) and people who celebrate their Irish heritage. You say that as if we're all bigots when it's in fact a minority. Shows what you know really.

I for one have no connection with Ireland and so I chose not to partake in Irish flag-waving and whatnot.

There are a huge number of people that sing it when they have no Irish links(i.e many Celtic fans I know and see nothing wrong with it) just as there as many Rangers fans who sing the songs without knowing the meaning. I take it every single fan who staged a walk out on Rememberance Day was of Irish heritage as well?

Hope the game isn't a let down just like every single Old Firm has been in about the last year. Not too bothered if Mcgregor can't play, Alexander is good enough. Just know Keane is going to score.

I humbly apply for the post of Accies supporter.

I don't really care too much but it's where I've lived all my life and I like to see them do well.

He'd definetly be subbed on for Miller but with Miller and Boyd working together week in week out I can see them playing well together.

It was meant to be a tongue-in-cheek dig, as I know you love those strawberry floating Vuvu-what's-their-name horn things that are going to ruin the World Cup for anyone who isn't deaf this year. I also fully appreciate that it didn't make any sense, but that's as good as you're going to get out of me when I'm half asleep on a Thursday night after a hard day's work.
