Should it not say 1886-2014?

That is a nice top. Their kit from last season was great too.

Notsureif...

It's commemorating the famous Hearts team from 1914. Hence Wonga agreeing to remove logo.

 Fair enough. Thought I'd answer just in case.

Saints have had their allocation increased to 1,800 for the Partick game on Friday. Being shown live on Alba so I'll get to see it. Massive, massive game.

Really can't believe the injection of excitement that the playoff has given the bottom half of the table. I'd take this over finishing bottom of the top six pile any day.

I don't want to see Partick or St. Mirren go down. I'd rather it was Hibs. :shifty:

Partick, St Mirren or County to go please not Hibs. Don't want another big club to go down although it would make the Championship a belter next season.

Ross County I wouldn't mind seeing go down, but I'd still prefer Hibs. No Rangers or Edinburgh teams in the SPL? :slol:

After we beat Murrawell for you? strawberry float you, BoH, strawberry float you. ;)

We won't be going down. It'll be Thistle or County. Hopefully County - Derek Adams is a banana split.

(Of course, this is assuming the top flight team actually loses the play-off, which is far from a foregone conclusion.)

He's just a big, soft panto villain. No point even trying to defend him - he's a banana split, but he's our banana split.

Edit: I mean Goodwin, not BoH. :shifty:

Sorry Steve, but even in the few matches Goodwin hasn't been booked or sent off this season he has still made an arse of himself or hurt someone. I can't wait for him to leave Scottish football.

He doesn't help himself, but is also victimised by the opposition and the media. I'd say the blame is 60/40 (where 60 is on JG).

There was an incident vs Hibs at the weekend in which Thomson elbowed Paul McGowan. Drew blood. There has been zero coverage of this, partly because Gowser got up and carried on, partly because the offending player wasn't Jim Goodwin.

As for JG's red card? We've rightly appealed it because there's no way it was worth a red.

Upset at what? He hasn't hurt my club. I'm not even going to debate this tbh  He just needs to leave, even St Mirren fans are fed up with his antics.

I just couldn't find a ready-made image of Jim Goodwin that said 'You seem keen to see me leave Scotland'.

And if you didn't want to debate it, why get involved? I'd already said I didn't want to defend him, but felt like I needed to.

As for Saints fans being fed up of him, you should see the amount of backtracking there has been now that folk at the game have seen the replays. He was a liability one minute, then hard done-by the next.

Football fans :fp:

Here's the challenge in full. You actually need to get to 1:39 before you can see how little contact JG actually made:

I've never been to a St Mirren match in which I've left feeling impressed/nothing at all by him. He's just a mess. St Mirren need a new captain.

When is his contract up?

This summer.

He probably does need to leave because his card is marked.

Interestingly, despite having this utter psychopath in our ranks, Saints are second in the fair play league, only behind Celtic, which to me shows that Goodwin is doing the dirty work that very few others in our squad will do. We have a small, young side and we miss him badly when he's not playing.

http://espnfc.com/stats/fairplay/_/leag ... ip?cc=5739

Also interesting is that Goodwin has just four yellows and a (currently contested) red more than John McGinn, our best player, our PotS, and who is very highly rated. Presumably he's not a liability because he's young, Scottish, talented and because he doesn't have a shaved head.

Finally, how come Hammill, Pascali and Brannigan aren't singled out as much as Goodwin for their 'antics'? Should they leave Scotland too?

Nothing wrong with the rest of the St Mirren squad really, though McGowan could do with maturing. It isn't a problem the rest of the squad suffer from.

I can't comment on Hammill, Pascali and Brannigan much as I haven't seen/heard any particularly bad footage (that I can recall) or seen them live much, though Hammill does have a fairly bad reputation.

Do you think Danny Lennon will stay?
