Absolutely unreal. Couldn't have written better fiction myself, winning with an injury time goal against my most hated club. So strawberry floating beautiful. Makes all those years of perennial underachievement completely worthwhile. That's what football's about. No words for it.
What a day. It's days like this that make me wish my liver wasn't so strawberry floated, and days like this I couldn't give a strawberry float it's strawberry floated.
Victory made all the sweeter by the most obnoxious rangers fans below us being complete dicks when 2-1 up and relentlessly mocking Hibs rather than just celebrate that their team were winning. The small pockets of Hibs fans made sure to out cheer them when the tides turned anyway.
Stokes was a revelation, where the strawberry float's he been at the past 6 months.
Special mention to the horrendous Guardian match report that somehow thinks the actions of a few bellends at the end will overshadow our 114 year long wait for the trophy. While nicely overlooking the knobs from the Rangers end that decided to invade the pitch too.
So sad I'm not in Scotland tonight. Sad that I picked the one final we won to not go to. Sad that I'm not blind drunk in a shithouse Leith pub. But really, who gives a strawberry float. What a day.
Thanks man. Dreamt last night that we were 2-1 up and had lost it 3-2, first few moments of my day were just spent thinking 'fucksake, not again'
Makes me happy to support a relatively small/gooseberry fool club too, finally caught up with the other football thread as I couldn't have given a damn about the fa cup final after that and the Utd fans seem so much more subdued
